Type 1 Diabetes melittus ( T1DM ) is Considered as one of the
complicated and chronic disease that affects the dietary patterns for diabetic
child and his normal growth . for this reason , this study aimed to find the
relationship between nutrient needs , the type of feeding for the diabetic child
and his physical growth ( weight and height ) .
The study includes 50 diabetic children , (28) females and (22) males who
came to the National Diabetes Center – AL-mustansiriya University for making
term tests during the period from April 2009 to January 2010 .Their ages
ranged from 3 to13 years ,personal information were collected by a
questionnaire , weight and height were recorded and blood sample were
taken for Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c)measurement .
The results revealed a reduction in the average total calories intake by the
age group of (4-8) years and (9-13) for both males and females respectively.
Results also showed 44% weight loss in the sample of the study .The
percentage loss of males is higher than the females ( 45.5% , 42%)
respectively and reduction in the average height . As for the HbA1c test, the
study finds increasing average (9.1%) for males and (9.5%) for females.
Those children who suffer from weight loss have higher average of HbA1c .
The study shows , there is a significant correlation between total caloric
intake , age and the HbA1c.
Cytokines are signaling molecules between inflammatory cells that play a significant role in the pathogenesis of a disease. Among these cytokines are interleukins (ILs) 17A and 33, and accordingly, the current case-control study sought to investigate the role of each of the two cytokines in the risk of developing multiple sclerosis (MS). Sixty-eight relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) Iraqi patients and twenty healthy individuals (control group) were enrolled. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits were used to determine serum levels of IL-17A and IL-33. ... Show MoreIn this paper, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is presented for treating a linear system of second-kind mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations. The method is based on constructing the series whose summation is the solution of the considered system. Convergence of constructed series is discussed and its proof is given; also, the error estimation is obtained. Algorithm is suggested and applied on several examples and the results are computed by using MATLAB (R2015a). To show the accuracy of the results and the effectiveness of the method, the approximate solutions of some examples are compared with the exact solution by computing the absolute errors.

The present study aims to detect CTX-M-type ESBL from Escherichia coli clinical isolates and to analyze their antibotic susceptibility patterns. One hundred of E. coli isolates were collected from different clinical samples from a tertiary hospital. ESBL positivity was determined by the disk diffusion method. PCR used for amplification of CTX-M-type ESBL produced by E. coli. Out of 100 E. coli isolates, twenty-four isolates (24%) were ESBL-producers. E. coli isolated from pus was the most frequent clinical specimen that produced ESBL (41.66%) followed by urine (34.21%), respiratory (22.23%), and blood (19.05%). In this paper we estimate the coefficients and scale parameter in linear regression model depending on the residuals are of type 1 of extreme value distribution for the largest values . This can be regard as an improvement for the studies with the smallest values .
