Type 1 Diabetes melittus ( T1DM ) is Considered as one of the
complicated and chronic disease that affects the dietary patterns for diabetic
child and his normal growth . for this reason , this study aimed to find the
relationship between nutrient needs , the type of feeding for the diabetic child
and his physical growth ( weight and height ) .
The study includes 50 diabetic children , (28) females and (22) males who
came to the National Diabetes Center – AL-mustansiriya University for making
term tests during the period from April 2009 to January 2010 .Their ages
ranged from 3 to13 years ,personal information were collected by a
questionnaire , weight and height were recorded and blood sample were
taken for Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c)measurement .
The results revealed a reduction in the average total calories intake by the
age group of (4-8) years and (9-13) for both males and females respectively.
Results also showed 44% weight loss in the sample of the study .The
percentage loss of males is higher than the females ( 45.5% , 42%)
respectively and reduction in the average height . As for the HbA1c test, the
study finds increasing average (9.1%) for males and (9.5%) for females.
Those children who suffer from weight loss have higher average of HbA1c .
The study shows , there is a significant correlation between total caloric
intake , age and the HbA1c.

The present study was conducted to investigate effect of prey type on the relationship between age of females of Macrocyclops albidus and reproductive performance, which included each of mean number of nauplii, age at first brood, and age at first clutch. ... Show MoreThe present study aims to detect CTX-M-type ESBL from Escherichia coli clinical isolates and to analyze their antibotic susceptibility patterns. One hundred of E. coli isolates were collected from different clinical samples from a tertiary hospital. ESBL positivity was determined by the disk diffusion method. PCR used for amplification of CTX-M-type ESBL produced by E. coli. Out of 100 E. coli isolates, twenty-four isolates (24%) were ESBL-producers. E. coli isolated from pus was the most frequent clinical specimen that produced ESBL (41.66%) followed by urine (34.21%), respiratory (22.23%), and blood (19.05%). In this paper we estimate the coefficients and scale parameter in linear regression model depending on the residuals are of type 1 of extreme value distribution for the largest values . This can be regard as an improvement for the studies with the smallest values . We study two estimation methods ( OLS & MLE ) where we resort to Newton – Raphson (NR) and Fisher Scoring methods to get MLE estimate because the difficulty of using the usual approach with MLE .
