Type 1 Diabetes melittus ( T1DM ) is Considered as one of the
complicated and chronic disease that affects the dietary patterns for diabetic
child and his normal growth . for this reason , this study aimed to find the
relationship between nutrient needs , the type of feeding for the diabetic child
and his physical growth ( weight and height ) .
The study includes 50 diabetic children , (28) females and (22) males who
came to the National Diabetes Center – AL-mustansiriya University for making
term tests during the period from April 2009 to January 2010 .Their ages
ranged from 3 to13 years ,personal information were collected by a
questionnaire , weight and height were recorded and blood sample were
taken for Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c)measurement .
The results revealed a reduction in the average total calories intake by the
age group of (4-8) years and (9-13) for both males and females respectively.
Results also showed 44% weight loss in the sample of the study .The
percentage loss of males is higher than the females ( 45.5% , 42%)
respectively and reduction in the average height . As for the HbA1c test, the
study finds increasing average (9.1%) for males and (9.5%) for females.
Those children who suffer from weight loss have higher average of HbA1c .
The study shows , there is a significant correlation between total caloric
intake , age and the HbA1c.

This study focused on determining the markers of Macrophage migration inhibitor (MIF), as well as the N-telopeptides of type I bone collagen (NTX), and some other parameters (alkaline phosphatase (ALP), vitamin D (Vit D), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), and magnesium (Mg), and their correlation with other parameters in osteoporosis. One hundred ten subjects were involved in the current study. There were two groups of patients: group I (30) women with severe osteoporosis and group II (30) women with mild osteoporosis. This study aims at examining the effectiveness of using the narrative approach in teaching the Interpretation of the Qur'an course in the development of conceptual comprehension among first-grade middle school female students. To achieve the objective of this study, a quantitative quasi-experimental design has been used. A new efficient Two Derivative Runge-Kutta method (TDRK) of order five is developed for the numerical solution of the special first order ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The new method is derived using the property of First Same As Last (FSAL). We analyzed the stability of our method.
