: Summary Iraq suffered under the British administration during the First World War and its entry into an occupation of economic backwardness, and this economic backwardness was linked to the phenomenon of linking Iraq economically to the capitalist world by keeping it as a source of raw materials and a market for capitalist goods, and that the occupation authorities controlled Iraq's economic goods and wealth and mocked them to serve its interests and achieve their political and economic goals that it drew before the war.

The inhibitory effect of prepared polymer on the activity of human serum Cholinesrerase has been studied in vitro. Two different oxidative desulfurization strategies based on oxidation/adsorption or oxidation/extraction were evaluated for the desulfurization of AL-Ahdab (AHD) sour crude oil (3.9wt% sulfur content). In the oxidation process, a homogenous oxidizing agent comprising of hydrogen peroxide and formic acid was used. Activated carbons were used as sorbent/catalyst in the oxidation/adsorption process while acetonitrile was used as an extraction solvent in the oxidation/extraction process. The reaction of coumarin derivatives (coumarin I and II) with p-nitrophenyl hydrazine yield Schiff bases (compound1a and IIa_).These Schiff bases were refluxed with benzoyl chloride to give benzohydrazide derivatives of coumarin substituted at its 6 or 7 nucleus position (Ia₁ and IIa₁).The reaction and the purity of the products were checked by thin layer chromatography (TLC).
