Methodology: The present study employs a descriptive comparative design held at the labor and delivery room , operational room for cesarean section and maternity word in maternity department at Al Emamain Al Kadhamain Medical City in Baghdad city. Data collection was initiated on 2nd January to end of March /2014. Purposive sample consisted of (150) mother and her neonate, The study sample divided into three groups:(50) under general anesthesia , (50) under spinal anesthesia ,(50) normal vaginal delivery and considered control group. An assessment tool was constructed for the purpose of the study, it was comprised of socio-demographic data, mother reproductive history, information about neonate age, weight, Apgar score, anesthesia effect on neonate after delivery and assessment of breast feeding immediately after birth and anesthesia effect on bonding. Results : The main results of the study shows that the highest percentage of neonate age at ( 1 & 2) hours after delivery, , Neonate weight 3000 gm., general group had illustrated low Apgar scoring scale comparing with others groups. Mother choice of anesthesia, odds ratio indicator showed that choice of general anesthesia twice times of choice spinal anesthesia .Regarding mother practice of breast feeding, mother in general anesthesia started breastfeeding after two attempts or more ,while in N.V.D. started from first attempt, for the reasons of inability to achieve breast feeding, all items in general reported failure assessment, also in and spinal groups all items reported failure except in Feeling severe pain after the operation", " The mother in recovery room immediately after the operation", and "Lack of milk flow as a result of anesthesia" which reported pass assessment. Finally, N.V.D. has reported pass assessment in light of preceding part. Reasons related to child", general and spinal groups are reported failure assessments in light of "A child needs to transfer to the intensive care unit, and Baby feeling tired and not being able to breast feeding" items, and the leftover items are reported pass assessments. While, N.V.D. has reported pass assessment in all items. Effectiveness of anesthesia on breastfeeding shows failure assessment in general and spinal group in mother practice , reasons related to mother and newborn, while pass in N.V.D. group. Regarding mother-neonate bonding ,results of effectiveness shows failure assessment in general and pass in spinal and N.V.D. group.. Recommendations: Early mother-neonate bonding appears to offer some clinical benefit, particularly for breastfeeding. Supportive policies are needed in hospitals and birthing centers to help implement this intervention, which might be regarded as "natural".

Effect of Allowable Vertical Load and Length/Diameter Ratio (L/D) on Behavior of Pile Group Subjected to Torsion
...Show More Authors

Some structures such as tall buildings, offshore platforms, and bridge bents are subjected to lateral loads of considerable magnitude due to wind and wave actions, ship impacts, or high-speed vehicles. Significant torsional forces can be transferred to the foundation piles by virtue of eccentric lateral loading. The testing program of this study includes one group consists of 3 piles, four percentages of allowable vertical load were used (0%, 25%, 50%, and 100%) with two L/D ratios 20 and 30, vertical allowable load 110 N for L/D = 20 and 156 N for L/D = 30. The results obtained indicate that the torsional capacity for pile group increases with increasing the percentage of allowable vertical load, when the percentage of allowable vertica

Skill performance in terms of the most important anthropometric variables and motor abilities among junior football players in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Football tennis is a team game derived from the integration of football skills, tennis and some of the laws of volleyball. This game originated in 1920, but it was officially approved in 2010 and an international federation was formed for it. Football tennis, like other sports, has its own basic laws and rules, but it is characterized by physical requirements, the way of playing and how to perform skills. Determining these abilities and working to improve and develop them is important and a scientific step to reach the best results, as the special abilities of the game contribute to mastering technical performance of skills and play without errors and thus competition in an ideal technical and legal situation. The research aims to:

Effect of water absorption on some mechanical and physical properties of epoxy/polyurethane blend reinforced with nano silica powder
...Show More Authors

The aim of this work is to evaluate some mechanical and physical
properties (i.e. the impact strength, hardness, flexural strength,
thermal conductivity and diffusion coefficient) of
(epoxy/polyurethane) blend reinforced with nano silica powder (2%
wt.). Hand lay-up technique was used to manufacture the composite
and a magnetic stirrer for blending the components. Results showed
that water had affected the bending flexural strength and hardness,
while impact strength increased and thermal conductivity decreased.
In addition to the above mentioned tests, the diffusion coefficient
was calculated using Fick’s 2nd law.

EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF A DOUBLE PASS SOLAR AIR HEATER PROVIDED WITH POROUS ABSORBER PLATE FOR DRYING APPLICATIONS
...Show More Authors

This investigation integrates experimental and numerical approaches to study a novel solar air heater aimed at achieving an efficient design for a solar collector suitable for drying applications under the meteorological conditions of Iraq. The importance of this investigation stems from the lack of optimal exploitation of solar energy reaching the solar collector, primarily attributable to elevated thermal losses despite numerous designs employed in such solar systems. Consequently, enhancing the thermal performance of solar collectors, particularly those employed in crop drying applications, stands as a crucial focal point for researchers within this domain. Two identical double-pass solar air heaters were designed and constructed for

Studying the Effect of Permeability Prediction on Reservoir History Matching by Using Artificial Intelligence and Flow Zone Indicator Methods
...Show More Authors

The map of permeability distribution in the reservoirs is considered one of the most essential steps of the geologic model building due to its governing the fluid flow through the reservoir which makes it the most influential parameter on the history matching than other parameters. For that, it is the most petrophysical properties that are tuned during the history matching. Unfortunately, the prediction of the relationship between static petrophysics (porosity) and dynamic petrophysics (permeability) from conventional wells logs has a sophisticated problem to solve by conventional statistical methods for heterogeneous formations. For that, this paper examines the ability and performance of the artificial intelligence method in perme
