Objectives: To assess the pediatric nurses' knowledge about the nosocomial infection owl), and to fud out the
relatiouships between their knowledge about the nosocomial infection and demographic data.
Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out at neonatal intensive care units OVICUs) of Baghdad
Pediatric Teaching Hospitals. It was started from the end of April to the end of October, 2008. A purposive
sample of (28) pediatric nurses were selected. The data were collected by self-administered questiormaire. The
validity of the questionnaire was detemined through a panel of experts, while its reliability was detemined
through the pilot study. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics through the package
SPSS version (10.0).
Results: The findings indicated that the pediatric nurses who work at neonatal intensive care units have an
inadequate level of knowledge about all aspects of the NI. Nurses' age, educational level, and their years of
employment in the general hospitals, pediatric hospitals, and NICU have a significant association with their
knowledge. However, nurses' educational courses and updating knowledge about the NI have no association
with their knowledge.
Recommendation: The study recommends that all the pediatnc nurses should be exposed to educational courses
to raise their awareness about the NI. Encourage transmission barriers use (hand hygiene, personal protective
equipment), especially the most important and simple procedures to reduce the NI "hand hygiene". Further
studies should include other nurses in all hospitals, especially in the ICUs.
1-[4-(2-Hydroxy-4, 6-dimethyl-phenylazo)-phenol]-ethanone (HL1) and 2-(4-methoxy-phenylazo)-3, 5-dimethyl-phenol (HL2) were produced by combination the diazonium salts of amines with 3, 5-dimethylphenol. The geometry of azo compounds was resolved on the basis of (C.H.N) analyses, 1H and 13CNMR, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic mechanisms. Complexes of La (III) and Rh (III) have been performed and depicted. The formation of complexes has been identified by using elemental analysis, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic process as well, conductivity molar quantifications. Nature of complexes produced have been studied obeyed mole ratio and continuous alteration ways, Beer's law followed through a concentration scope (1×10-4 - 3×10-4 M). H

The aim of this study was to evaluate ciprofloxacin efficacy as a treatment in animal models following infection with multidrug-resistant UPEC and multidrug-susceptible UPEC and to determine the nephrotoxic effect of these antibiotics on the renal cortex. Up to 76 E. coli isolates were collected from UTI patients in Baghdad province, characterized by morphological and biochemical features, and confirmed using the Vitek-2 compact system. Mice were orally infected via gastric gavage with G33 using a bacterial load of 107 cells/ml, followed by p

Methods: A prospective comparative observational study was conducted at Al-Elwiya Maternity Teaching Hospital and a private clinic in Baghdad, Iraq, from March 2023 to December 2024. One hundred infertile women aged 21–35 years who conceived after ovulation induction with either letrozole (5 mg/day) or clomiphene citrate (100 mg/day) for five days (cycle days 3–7) were enrolled. Participants were followed through early pregnancy with serial sonography at 6, 8–11, and 18–20 weeks of gestation. Data

The Schiff base ( HL1) acts as a primary ligand whereas, anthranilic acid ( HL2), 2-nitroaniline ( HL3), alanine ( HL4) and histidine ( HL5) act as secondary ligand or co-ligand. The anticancer activity of these compounds was studied against human colon carcinoma (HCT-116), human hepatocellular liver carcinoma (HEPG-2) and human breast carcinoma (MCF-7) cell lines. As per the results, the compounds were active against the cell lines. The antioxidant activity of the same compounds was evaluated using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl) radical scavenging and compared with ascorbic aci

The refrigerant of each type was R22.The comparison was in the amou
