M is viewed as a right module over an arbitrary ring R with identity. The essential second modules is defined in this paper. We call M is essential second when for any a bilongs to R, either Ma = 0 or Ma <_e M. Number of conclusions are gained and some connections between these modules and other related modules are studied.

     In this paper we introduce the notions of t-stable extending and strongly t-stable extending modules. We investigate properties and characterizations of each of these concepts. It is shown that a direct sum of t-stable extending modules is t-stable extending while with certain conditions a direct sum of strongly t-stable extending is strongly t-stable extending. Also, it is proved that under certain condition, a stable submodule of t-stable extending (strongly t-stable extending) inherits the property.

 In this paper, we give a comprehensive study of min (max)-CS modules such as a closed submodule of min-CS module is min-CS. Amongst other results we show that a direct summand of min (max)-CS module is min (max)-CS module. One of interested theorems in this paper is, if R is a nonsingular ring then R is a max-CS ring if and only if R is a min-CS ring.

The main goal of this paper is introducing and studying a new concept, which is named H-essential submodules, and we use it to construct another concept called Homessential modules. Several fundamental properties of these concepts are investigated, and other characterizations for each one of them is given. The class of quasi semi -convex functions and pseudo semi -convex functions are presented in this paper by combining the class of -convex functions with the class of quasi semi -convex functions and pseudo semi -convex functions, respectively. Various non-trivial examples are introduced to illustrate the new functions and show their relationships with -convex functions recently introduced in the literature.
