The Digital Change Detection for Low Resolution Satellite Images in Weathering Estimation

      The detection and estimation of weathering conditions have become a very important daily necessity in our life. For this purpose, several satellites of low resolution imagery were launched by the weathering and environmental agencies. The important weather paremeters are temperuter, wind direction,  velocity, clould and humidity, etc. The low resolution images often deal with large-scale phenomena and the interpretation and projection of the produced data requires continuous development of tools and criteria.              In this paper, the low spatial resolution data generated by the moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) were used to monitor the cloud density and direction above Iraq and its neighboring countries for the period from 14-12-2021 to 23-12-2021. The MODIS reflectance and surface temperature (HDF format) data were used and processed to achieve the purpose of this research.   The reflectance data were projected according to a sinusoidal system due to the presence of three Earth zones distributions (37, 38, and 39, N). The cloud density was estimated from the digital values  and the wind direction was estimated from the bands animation. The direction of wind for the cloudy condition was from the North-East. The digital data processing included data preparation and selection, georeference (adding a projection system), features extraction, and displaying the final results. All data were evaluated using ENVI (Environment for Visualizing Images, ver. 4.5.)

Molecular Comparison of Free -Living Amoeba Isolated From Iraqi, Iranian and Turkish Waters

Amoebas live freely in different climates and parts of the world. Several species of Free Living Amoeba (FLA) are capable of causing serious as well as fatal infections in human beings. The aim of this study was to identify and compare genotypes of water-polluting FLA in major rivers and lakes of Iraq and compare them with FLA isolates from Iran and Turkey. For this purpose, the study included 20 water samples from the Tigris River, Euphrates River , Najaf Sea and Dukan lake in Iraq, 20 water samples from  Marivan, Velasht, and Soleimanshah lakes and Caspian sea in Iran, and 20 water samples from Sabanca, Seyfi , Hazar and Yay lakes in Turkey. Studying Hueckel Edge Detector Using Binary Step Edge Image

Hueckel edge detector study using binary step edge image is presented. The standard algorithm that Hueckel presented, in his paper without any alteration is adopted. This paper studies a fully analysis for the algorithm efficiency, time consuming and the expected results with slide window size and edge direction. An analysis for its behavior with the changing of the slide window size (disk size) is presented. The best result is acquired when the window size equals to four pixel.

Multi-Focus Image Fusion Based on Pixel Significance Using Counterlet Transform

Abstract

 The objective of image fusion is to merge multiple sources of images together in such a way that the final representation contains higher amount of useful information than any input one.. In this paper, a weighted average fusion method is proposed. It depends on using weights that are extracted from source images using counterlet transform. The extraction method is done by making the approximated transformed coefficients equal to zero, then taking the inverse counterlet transform to get the details of the images to be fused. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been verified on several grey scale and color test  images, and compared with some present methods.

A new Color image Encryption based on multi Chaotic Maps

     This paper presents a new RGB image encryption scheme using multi chaotic maps. Encrypting an image is performed via chaotic maps to confirm the properties of secure cipher namely confusion and diffusion are satisfied. Also, the key sequence for encrypting an image is generated using a combination of   1D logistic and Sine chaotic maps. Experimental results and the compassion results indicate that the suggested scheme provides high security against several types of attack, large secret keyspace and highly sensitive.

Image Compression Based on Arithmetic Coding Algorithm
