Study of Matter Density Distributions, Elastic Electron Scattering Form factors and Root Mean Square Radii of 9C, 12N, 23Al, 11Be and 15C Exotic Nuclei
...Show More Authors

The ground state densities of neutron-rich (11Be,15C) and proton-rich (9C,12N,23Al) exotic nuclei are investigated using a two-body nucleon density distribution (2BNDD) with two frequency shells model (TFSM). The structure of the valence one-neutron of 11Be is in pure (1p1/2) and of 15C in pure (1d5/2) configuration, while the structure of valence one-proton configuration is in 9C,12N are to be in a pure (1p1/2) and 23Al in a pure  (2s1/2) . For our studied nuclei, an efficient (2BNDD) operator for point nucleon system folded with two-body correlation operator's functions is  used to investigate nuclear matter density distributions, elastic electron scattering form factors, and root-mean square (rms) radii. The effect of the strong tensor force (TC) in nucleon-nucleon forces is taken into account in the correlation. The wave functions of a single particle harmonic oscillator are used with two different oscillator size parameters, βc and βv, the former for core (inner) orbits and the latter for valence (halo) orbits. The measured matter density distributions of these nuclei clearly show the long tail results. The plane wave born approximation (PWBA) is used to investigate the elastic electron scattering form factors for these exotic nuclei.

Enhancing the Compressive Strength and Density of Cement Mortar by the Addition of Different Alignments of Glass Fibers and Styrene Butadiene Rubber
...Show More Authors

Abstract

In the field of construction materials the glass reinforced mortar and Styrene Butadiene mortar are modern composite materials. This study experimentally investigated the effect of addition of randomly dispersed glass fibers and layered glass fibers on density and compressive strength of mortar with and without the presence of Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR). Mixtures of 1:2 cement/sand ratio and 0.5 water/cement ratio were prepared for making mortar. The glass fibers were added by two manners, layers and random with weight percentages of (0.54, 0.76, 1.1 and 1.42). The specimens were divided into two series: glass-fiber reinforced mortar without SBR and glass-fiber reinforced mortar with 7% SBR of mixture water. All s

The neutron halo structure of 14B, 22N, 23O and 24F nuclei studied via the generalised Woods–Saxon potential
...Show More Authors

The radial wave functions of the generalise dWoods–Saxon (GWS) potential within the two-body model of (Core + n) have been used to study the ground-state density distributions of protons, neutrons and matter and the associated root mean square (rms) radii of neutron-rich 14B, 22N, 23O and 24F halo nuclei. The calculated results show that the radial wave functions of the generalised Woods–Saxon potential within the two-body model succeed in reproducing neutron halo in these exotic nuclei. Elastic electron scattering form factors for these nuclei are studied by combining the charge density distributions with the plane-wave Born approximation (PWBA).

White Blood Cells Nuclei Localization Using Modified K-means Clustering Algorithm and Seed Filling Technique
...Show More Authors

The presence of White Blood Cells (WBCs) in the body of human has a great role in the protection of the body against many pathogens. The recognition of the WBC is the first important step to diagnose some particular diseases. The pathologists usually use an optical microscope to recognize WBCs, but, this process is a quite tedious, time-consuming, error prone, very slow, and expensive. In addition, it needs experts with long practice in this field. For these reasons, a computer assisted diagnostic system that helps pathologists in the process of diagnosis can be effective, easy and safe. This research is devoted to develop a system based on digital image processing methods to localize WBCs nuclei. The proposed system involved a collectio

Investigation of Aluminum Arsenide Honeycomb Monolayer via Density Functional Theory
...Show More Authors

First principle calculations are performed to theoretically predict the physical properties of hexagonal aluminium arsenide planar and buckled monolayers. The structural characteristics showed that the buckled parameter is about 0.32 A°. Cohesive energies have favourable values and it indicates the fabrication possibility. Phonon dispersion properties indicated that the planar aluminium arsenic monolayers are dynamically unstable, while the buckled is less dynamically unstable. The elastic constant parameters achieved the required characteristics of stable hexagonal monolayer structures. The study of electronic band structure prefers to indirect semiconductor band gaps, and the density of states showed strong orbital hybridizati

Theoretical Calculations of the Electron Transport Parameters in CH4-Ar and CH4-Ne Mixtures Gases Using Monte Carlo Method
...Show More Authors

The result of concentration varying of mixture methane with argon and neon gas are believed to study the change in electrons energy distribution function and then the change of the electrons transport parameters including the drift velocity, the mean energy, characteristics energy and diffusion coefficient. In the present work,a contemporary developed computer, simulation program known as Bolsig+ is being used for calculating the electron transport parameters.

PERFORMANCE MEASURE OF MULTIPLE-CHANNEL QUEUEING SYSTEMS WITH IMPRECISE DATA USING GRADED MEAN INTEGRATION FOR TRAPEZOIDAL AND HEXAGONAL FUZZY NUMBERS
...Show More Authors

In this paper, a procedure to establish the different performance measures in terms of crisp value is proposed for two classes of arrivals and multiple channel queueing models, where both arrival and service rate are fuzzy numbers. The main idea is to convert the arrival rates and service rates under fuzzy queues into crisp queues by using graded mean integration approach, which can be represented as median rule number. Hence, we apply the crisp values obtained to establish the performance measure of conventional multiple queueing models. This procedure has shown its effectiveness when incorporated with many types of membership functions in solving queuing problems. Two numerical illustrations are presented to determine the validity of the

Delineation of Subsurface Fractures Density Within and Out of Abu-Jir Fault Zone Using 2D Imaging Resistivity Technique echniqueechnique , A case Study from Southwest of Karbala City, Central Iraq
...Show More Authors

The 2D imaging survey was carried out using Wenner-Schlumberger array through (11) 2D survey lines distributed within and out of Abu-Jir fault zone, Southwest of Karbala City, central Iraq. The aim is to delineate subsurface fractures density. The total length of each 2D survey line is (600m.) with the unit electrode spacing (a) equals to (10m.).The results showed two types of fractures zones. The first type is formed by dissolution process of carbonate rocks, while the second fractures zone is formed from tectonic movements, and it includes two types of fractures system, oblique and vertical fractures.
This study includes comparison between subsurface fracture density within and out of Abu- Jir fault zone. This comparison showed that

Probit and Improved Probit Transform-Based Kernel Estimator for Copula Density
...Show More Authors

Copula modeling is widely used in modern statistics. The boundary bias problem is one of the problems faced when estimating by nonparametric methods, as kernel estimators are the most common in nonparametric estimation. In this paper, the copula density function was estimated using the probit transformation nonparametric method in order to get rid of the boundary bias problem that the kernel estimators suffer from. Using simulation for three nonparametric methods to estimate the copula density function and we proposed a new method that is better than the rest of the methods by five types of copulas with different sample sizes and different levels of correlation between the copula variables and the different parameters for the function. The

Abstract:

In this research we discussed the parameter estimation and variable selection in Tobit quantile regression model in present of multicollinearity problem. We used elastic net technique as an important technique for dealing with both multicollinearity and variable selection. Depending on the data we proposed Bayesian Tobit hierarchical model with four level prior distributions . We assumed both tuning parameter are random variable and estimated them with the other unknown parameter in the model .Simulation study was used for explain the efficiency of the proposed method and then we compared our approach with (Alhamzwi 2014 & standard QR) .The result illustrated that our approach
