In this paper, we built a mathematical model for convection and thermal radiation heat transfer of fluid flowing through a vertical channel with porous medium under effects of horizontal magnetic field (MF) at the channel. This model represents a 2-dimensional system of non-linear partial differential equations. Then, we solved this system numerically by finite difference methods using Alternating Direction Implicit (ADI) Scheme in two phases (steady state and unsteady state). Moreover, we found the distribution and behaviour of the heat temperature inside the channel and studied the effects of Brinkman number, Reynolds number, and Boltzmann number on the heat temperature behaviour. We solved the system by building a computer program using MATLAB.
Density data of alum chrom in water and in aqueous solution of poly (ethylene glycol) (1500) at different temperatures (288.15, 293.15, 298.15) k have been used to estimate the apparent molar volume (Vθ), limiting apparent molar volume (Vθ˚) experimental slope (Sv) and the second derivative of limiting partial molar volume [δ2 θ v° /δ T2] p .The viscosity data have been analyzed by means of Jones –Dole equation to obtain coefficient A, and Jones – Dole coefficient B, Free activation energy of activation per mole of solvent, Δμ10* solute, Δμ20* the activation enthalpy ΔH*,and entropy, ΔS*of activation of viscous flow. These results have been discussed
... Show MoreThe problem of reconstruction of a timewise dependent coefficient and free boundary at once in a nonlocal diffusion equation under Stefan and heat Flux as nonlocal overdetermination conditions have been considered. A Crank–Nicolson finite difference method (FDM) combined with the trapezoidal rule quadrature is used for the direct problem. While the inverse problem is reformulated as a nonlinear regularized least-square optimization problem with simple bound and solved efficiently by MATLAB subroutine lsqnonlin from the optimization toolbox. Since the problem under investigation is generally ill-posed, a small error in the input data leads to a huge error in the output, then Tikhonov’s regularization technique is app
... Show MoreIn this work, a class of stochastically perturbed differential systems with standard Brownian motion of ordinary unperturbed differential system is considered and studied. The necessary conditions for the existence of a unique solution of the stochastic perturbed semi-linear system of differential equations are suggested and supported by concluding remarks. Some theoretical results concerning the mean square exponential stability of the nominal unperturbed deterministic differential system and its equivalent stochastically perturbed system with the deterministic and stochastic process as a random noise have been stated and proved. The proofs of the obtained results are based on using the stochastic quadratic Lyapunov function meth
... Show MoreIn this work, some of numerical methods for solving first order linear Volterra IntegroDifferential Equations are presented. The numerical solution of these equations is obtained by using Open Newton Cotes formula. The Open Newton Cotes formula is applied to find the optimum solution for this equation. The computer program is written in (MATLAB) language (version 6)
In this paper, our aim is to study variational formulation and solutions of 2-dimensional integrodifferential equations of fractional order. We will give a summery of representation to the variational formulation of linear nonhomogenous 2-dimensional Volterra integro-differential equations of the second kind with fractional order. An example will be discussed and solved by using the MathCAD software package when it is needed.
The aim of this paper is to present a method for solving third order ordinary differential equations with two point boundary condition , we propose two-point osculatory interpolation to construct polynomial solution. The original problem is concerned using two-points osculatory interpolation with the fit equal numbers of derivatives at the end points of an interval [0 , 1] . Also, many examples are presented to demonstrate the applicability, accuracy and efficiency of the method by compared with conventional method .
In this paper, an approximate solution of nonlinear two points boundary variational problem is presented. Boubaker polynomials have been utilized to reduce these problems into quadratic programming problem. The convergence of this polynomial has been verified; also different numerical examples were given to show the applicability and validity of this method.
A mixture of algae biomass (Chrysophyta, Cyanophyta, and Chlorophyte) has been investigated for its possible adsorption removal of cationic dyes (methylene blue, MB). Effect of pH (1-8), biosorbent dosage (0.2-2 g/100ml), agitated speed (100-300), particle size (1304-89μm), temperature (20-40˚C), initial dye concentration (20-300 mg/L), and sorption–desorption were investigated to assess the algal-dye sorption mechanism. Different pre-treatments, alkali, protonation, and CaCl2 have been experienced in order to enhance the adsorption capacity as well as the stability of the algal biomass. Equilibrium isotherm data were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models. The maximum dye-sorption capacity was 26.65 mg/g at pH= 5, 25
