The wake potential and wake phenomena for swift proton in an amorphous carbon target were studied by utilising various dielectric function formalisms, including the Drude dielectric function, the Drude–Lorentz dielectric function and quantum dielectric function. The Drude model results exhibited a damped oscillatory behaviour in the longitudinal direction behind the projectile; the pattern of these oscillations decreases exponentially in the transverse direction. In addition, the wake potential extends slightly ahead of the projectile which also depends on the proton coordinate and velocity. The aim of this paper is to suggest a developed system for iris identification based on the fusion of scale invariant feature transforms (SIFT) along with local binary patterns of features extraction. This study covered approximately 150 km from the northern part of the Euphrates River in Iraq. Water and phytoplankton samples were monthly collected from six selected stations from April 2013 to March 2014; three stations were distributed within Hadithah Reservoir, while the three others were in the river's inflow. Water physical and chemical parameters and the phytoplankton community structure were analyzed.
