Acceptable Bit Error rate can be maintained by adapting some of the design parameters such as modulation, symbol rate, constellation size, and transmit power according to the channel state.
An estimate of HF propagation effects can be used to design an adaptive data transmission system over HF link. The proposed system combines the well known Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) together with variable rate transmission system. The standard ALE is modified to suite the required goal of selecting the best carrier frequency (channel) for a given transmission. This is based on measuring SINAD (Signal plus Noise plus Distortion to Noise plus Distortion), RSL (Received Signal Level), multipath phase distortion and BER (Bit Error Rate) fo
... Show MoreThe Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) measures the reflected solar radiation in the ultraviolet and visible part in the spectral range that is between 270 and 500 nm, using two channels with a spectral resolution of about 0.5 nm. Ground-level tropospheric ozone is one of the air pollutants of most concern. In the troposphere, near the Earth's surface, human activities lead to ozone concentrations several times higher than the natural background level. To evaluate the ozone distribution over Iraq, the ozone data from OMI were analyzed using geostatistical techniques. Theoretical spherical models provided the best fit for all monthly experimental variograms. The parameters of these variograms (sill, range and nugget) wer
... Show MoreMobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) are composed of mobile nodes communicating through wireless medium, without any fixed centralized infrastructure. Providing quality of service (QoS) support to multimedia streaming applications over MANETs is vital. This paper focuses on QoS support, provided by the stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) and the TCP-friendly rate control (TFRC) protocol to multimedia streaming applications over MANETs. In this study, three QoS parameters were considered jointly: (1) packet delivery ratio (PDR), (2) end-to-end delay, (3) and throughput. Specifically, the authors analyzed and compared the simulated performance of the SCTP and TFRC transport protocols for delivering multimedia streaming over MANETs.
... Show MoreOne of the most important processes to obtain gasoline with high octane numbers is isomerization. In this paper, Pt/TiO2 was prepared successfully by using the sol–gel method by hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropoxide as a titania source with ethanol and then platinum was loaded on the synthesized catalyst; the result shows that the sample prepared has a good crystallinity with a surface area of about 85 m2 /g and a pore volume of 0.1938 cm3 /g, while XRD shows that the prepared sample was anatase phase. The efect of both temperature and liquid hourly space velocity of the prepared catalyst was achieved by hydroisomerization of n-hexane in a fxed bed reactor with a temperature of 200–275 °C and LHSV 0.5–2h−1. The results show
... Show MoreThe concept of closed quasi principally injective acts over monoids is introduced ,which signifies a generalization for the quasi principally injective as well as for the closed quasi injective acts. Characterization of this concept is intended to show the behavior of a closed quasi principally injective property. At the same time, some properties of closed quasi principally injective acts are examined in terms of their endomorphism monoid. Also, the characterization of a closed self-principally injective monoid is given in terms of its annihilator. The relationship between the following concepts is also studied; closed quasi principally injective acts over monoids, Hopfian, co Hopfian, and directly finite property. Ultimately, based on
... Show MoreA submoduleA of amodule M is said to be strongly pure , if for each finite subset {ai} in A , (equivalently, for each a ?A) there exists ahomomorphism f : M ?A such that f(ai) = ai, ?i(f(a)=a).A module M is said to be strongly F–regular if each submodule of M is strongly pure .The main purpose of this paper is to develop the properties of strongly F–regular modules and study modules with the property that the intersection of any two strongly pure submodules is strongly pure .
In this paper, we introduce the concepts of Large-lifting and Large-supplemented modules as a generalization of lifting and supplemented modules. We also give some results and properties of this new kind of modules.
In this article, we introduce a class of modules that is analogous of generalized extending modules. First we define a module M to be a generalized ECS if and only if for each ec-closed submodule A of M, there exists a direct summand D of M such that is singular, and then we locate generalized ECS between the other extending generalizations. After that we present some of characterizations of generalized ECS condition. Finally, we show that the direct sum of a generalized ECS need not be generalized ECS and deal with decompositions for be generalized ECS concept.
