Many diseases can produce cardiac overload, of these disease hypertension, valve disease congenital anomaly in addition to many other disease. One of the most common diseases causing left ventricle overload is hypertension. A long term hypertension can cause myocardium hypertrophy leading to changes in the cardiac contractility and reduced efficiency. The investigations were carried out using conventional echocardiography techniques in addition to the tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) from which many noninvasive measurements can be readily obtained. The study has involved the effect of hypertension on the myocardium stiffness index through the measurement of early diastolic filling (E) and the early velocity of lateral mitral annulus (Ea) from which left ventricle filling pressure can be obtained. Our aim was to investigate the changes in the myocardium index of diastolic stiffness using TDI for patients suffering from systemic hypertension. We studied 263 hypertensive patients (105 males and 158 females of average age of 54.07± 12.7) and 166 healthy subjects (age range 40.06± 12.8,53 males and 113 females) as a control group. Measurements were carried out using tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) of the mitral annulus in addition to other echocardiographic measurements for the assessment of left ventricle end diastolic dimension (LVEDD), Doppler peak early (E) and late (A) diastolic filling velocities. Results reveal that mitral annular early diastolic velocity (Ea) measured by TDI, that (Ea) was significantly lower for the hypertensive group in comparison with the control group (Ea 9.81 ± 2.87 cm/s for hypertensive vs. 12.90 ± 2.395 cm/s for control p value <0.001. Hypertensive group also showed a significantly higher mitral annular late diastolic velocity (Aa) in comparison with control group as Aa 11.21 ± 2.504 cm/s for hypertensive vs. 9.787 ±2.201cm/s for control, p value <0.001.. In conclusion, LV myocardial diastolic stiffness index is increased in hypertensive patients.
The reaction of L-ascorbic acid with the chloroacetic acid in presence of potassium hydroxide has been investigated. The new product L (2,3,5,6-O,O,O,O-tetraacetic acid L-ascorbic acid) was isolated and characterized by elemental analysis(C.H), 1H, 13C-NMR. Mass spectrum and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). The reaction of the ligand (L) (where L = H4L), M+2 = (Co, Ni, Cu, Cd, Pb, Hg, Ca, Mg) has been investigated and was isolated and characterized by FT-IR, UV- visible, conductivity, Atomic absorption and molar ratio (Cd, Co) complexes. Spectroscopic evidence showed that the binding of the M(II) ions are throughy the O-1 Lacton, O-2-OCH2COOH and O-6-O

Stereolithography (SLA) has become an essential photocuring 3D printing process for producing parts of complex shapes from photosensitive resin exposed to UV light. The selection of the best printing parameters for good accuracy and surface quality can be further complicated by the geometric complexity of the models. This work introduces multiobjective optimization of SLA printing of 3D dental bridges based on simple CAD objects. The effect of the best combination of a low-cost resin 3D printer’s machine parameter settings, namely normal exposure time, bottom exposure time and bottom layers for less dimensional deviation and surface roughness, was studied. A multiobjective optimization method was utilized, combining the Taguchi me

A negative gram of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria was isolated and exposed to non-thermal plasma at different flow rates of argon gas whose value ranged from (1-5) liters/minute. The results showed that bacterial killing rate is directly proportional to distance while exposing the samples to non-thermal plasma, and the best factors by which a complete killing rate was obtained were at a distance of 2 cm with a voltage of 8 kV and a gas flow rate of 5 liters/min,

An experiment was conducted in pots under field conditions during fall seasons of 2017 and 2018. This study aimed to improve a weak growth of seedlings under salt stress in sorghum. Three factors were studied. 1st factor was three cultivars (Inqath, Rabeh, and Buhoth70). 2nd factor was seed priming (primed and unprimed seed). Seed were primed by soaking for 12 hours in a solution containing 300 + 70 mg L−1 of gibberellic (GA3) and salicylic (SA) acids, respectively. 3rd factor was irrigation with saline water (6, 9 and 12 dS m−1) resulting from dissolving sodium chloride in distilled water in addition to control treatment (distilled water). Randomized complete block design was used with four replications. In both seasons: the re

The emission spectra of plasma created in a plasma jet system using argon gas were observed for three metals (Ag, Zn, and Cu) for the anode and varied flow rates ranging from 1–4 L/min. at constant voltage, and normal atmospheric pressure. The spectral lines of excited Ar, Ag, Zn, and Cu species were identified at a wavelength of (650–900) nm .The Debye length, sphere, and temperature of an electron are all measured. Optical emission spectrometer (OES) equipment was used to capture the spectrum produced by the plasma at various argon gas flow rates. The temperature and density of the electron (Te) and (n

The two-step technique is used to prepare ionanofluid (INF) by dispersing multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in two concentrations 0.5 and 1 wt% in ionic liquid (IL). Two types of ionic liquids (ILs) were used: hydrophilic represented by 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [EMIM][BF4] and hydrophobic represented by 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate [HMIM][PF6]. The thermophysical properties of the prepared INFs including thermal conductivity (TC), density and viscosity were measured experimental
5-Fluorouracil is one of the commonly used chemotherapy drugs in anticancer therapy; unfortunately treatment with 5-FU by solely has many drawbacks low lipophilicity, low permeability, low molecular weight, and its relatively poor plasma protein binding; also a brief half-life therefore frequent administration is required to maintain the optimal therapeutic plasma level which in addition to its poor selectivity, drug resistance and limited penetration to cancer cells; leads to increased incidence of side-effects to healthy cells/tissues and low response rates. In order to minimize these drawbacks; 5-FU was chemically conjugated with pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) in a mutual prodrug moiety (S-(9H-purin-6-yl) 3-(
