Abstract

A new type of solar air heater was designed, fabricated, and tested in Baghdad, Iraq winter conditions. The heater consists of two main parts. The horizontal section was filled with the black colored iron chip while the vertical part has five pipes filled with Iraqi paraffin wax. A fan was fixed at the exit of the air. Two cases were studied: when the air moved by natural convection and when forced convection moved it. The studied air heater has proven its effectiveness as it heated the air passing through it to high temperatures. The results manifest that using little air movement makes the temperatures, stored energies, and efficiencies of the two studied cases converge

A novel fractal design scheme has been introduced in this paper to generate microstrip bandpass filter designs with miniaturized sizes for wireless applications. The presented fractal scheme is based on Minkowski-like prefractal geometry. The space-filling property and self-similarity of this fractal geometry has found to produce reduced size symmetrical structures corresponding to the successive iteration levels. The main objective of this thesis is to study new concepts (up to our knowledge) which are P-rational submodules, P-polyform and fully polyform modules. We studied a special type of rational submodule, called the P-rational submodule. A submodule N of an R-module M is called P-rational (Simply, N≤_prM), if N is pure and Hom_R (M/N,E(M))=0 where E(M) is the injective hull of M. The main goal of this paper is to dualize the two concepts St-closed submodule and semi-extending module which were given by Ahmed and Abbas in 2015. These dualizations are called CSt-closed submodule and cosemi-extending mod- ule. Many important properties of these dualizations are investigated, as well as some others useful results which mentioned by those authors are dualized. Furthermore, the relationships of cosemi-extending and other related modules are considered.
