A comparison of gas sensing performance of V₂O₅:Ag nanoparticles as thin film and as bulk pellet toward NO₂ and NH₃ is presented. V₂O₅:Ag nanoparticles thin films were deposited by vacuum thermal evaporation method on glass substrates while the pellets were prepared by powder technology. XRD patterns of thin film and pellet were polycrystalline with an orthorhombic structure. The value of average grain size is about 60 nm.  Five fish species were collected from Tigris river at Al-Adhamiyah region, Baghdad during the period from September to December 2011. These fishes were examined for ectoparasites. They were infected with 13 species of parasites which included one species of ciliated protozoans and 12 species of monogeneans. Among such parasites, Ligophorus imitans Euzet et Suriano, 1977 is reported for the first time in Iraq. In addition, eight new host records in Iraq were reported in the present study.

In this paper, an attempt was made to measure and interpret the impact of several variables on global maritime transport, including: OECD industrial productions, high growth rates of some developing countries, and growth in world GDP. These variables contribute to higher rates of maritime transport revenues of 800 billion dollars annually; in the form of numerical sequences. The dry canal in Iraq was assumed to transfer 99 million tons of goods annually. This was made sure through the economic feasibility of the difference between maritime and land transport through railways.
