Commuting Involution Graphs for Certain Exceptional Groups of Lie Type

Abstract<p>Suppose that <italic>G</italic> is a finite group and <italic>X</italic> is a <italic>G</italic>-conjugacy classes of involutions. The commuting involution graph <inline-formula><alternatives><tex-math>$${\mathcal {C}}(G,X)$$</tex-math><math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mrow> <mi>C</mi> <mo>(</mo> <mi>G</mi> <mo>,</mo> <mi>X</mi> <mo>)</mo> </mrow> </math></alternatives></inline-formula> is the graph whose vertex set is <italic>X</italic> with <inline-formula><alternatives><tex-math>$$x, y \in X$$</tex-math><math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mrow> <mi>x</mi> <mo>,</mo> <mi>y</mi> <mo>∈</mo> <mi>X</mi> </mrow> </math></alternatives></inline-formula> being joined if <inline-formula><alternatives><tex-math>$$x \ne y$$</tex-math><math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mrow> <mi>x</mi> <mo>≠</mo> <mi>y</mi> </mrow> </math></alternatives></inline-formula> and <inline-formula><alternatives><tex-math>$$xy = yx$$</tex-math><math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mrow> <mi>x</mi> <mi>y</mi> <mo>=</mo> <mi>y</mi> <mi>x</mi> </mrow> </math></alternatives></inline-formula>. Here for various exceptional Lie type groups of characteristic two we investigate their commuting involution graphs.</p>

Bionics-Based Approach for Object Tracking to Implement in Robot Applications

In this paper, an approach for object tracking that is inspired from human oculomotor system is proposed and verified experimentally. The developed approach divided into two phases, fast tracking or saccadic phase and smooth pursuit phase. In the first phase, the field of the view is segmented into four regions that are analogue to retinal periphery in the oculomotor system. When the object of interest is entering these regions, the developed vision system responds by changing the values of the pan and tilt angles to allow the object lies in the fovea area and then the second phase will activate. The interpolation effect on the spare sinogram for 3D image reconstruction

The effect of using three different interpolation methods (nearest neighbour, linear and non-linear) on a 3D sinogram to restore the missing data due to using angular difference greater than 1° (considered as optimum 3D sinogram) is presented. Two reconstruction methods are adopted in this study, the back-projection method and Fourier slice theorem method, from the results the second reconstruction proven to be a promising reconstruction with the linear interpolation method when the angular difference is less than 20°.

Numerical Solution for Linear Fredholm Integro-Differential Equation Using Touchard Polynomials

A new method based on the Touchard polynomials (TPs) was presented for the numerical solution of the linear Fredholm integro-differential equation (FIDE) of the first order and second kind with condition. The derivative and integration of the (TPs) were simply obtained. The convergence analysis of the presented method was given and the applicability was proved by some numerical examples. The results obtained in this method are compared with other known results.
