Design and Simulation of L1-Adaptive Controller for Position Control of DC Servomotor

This paper presents L1-adaptive controller for controlling uncertain parameters and time-varying unknown parameters to control the position of a DC servomotor. For the purpose of comparison, the effectiveness of L1-adaptive controller for position control of studied servomotor has been examined and compared with another adaptive controller; Model Reference Adaptive Controller (MRAC). Robustness of both L1-adaptive controller and model reference adaptive controller to different input reference signals and different structures of uncertainty were studied. Three different types of input signals are taken into account; ramp, step and sinusoidal. The L1-adaptive controller ensured uniformly bounded transient and asymptotic tracking for both system's input and output signals, simultaneously with asymptotic tracking. Simulations of a DC servomotor with time-varying friction and disturbance are presented to verify the theoretical findings.

Simulation of Obstacle Avoidance for Auto Guided Land Vehicle

This research is concerned with designing and simulating an auto control system for a car provided with obstacle avoidance sensors. This car is able to pass through predefined path an around the detected obstacles, and then come back to the intended path. Bayesian Adaptive Bridge Regression for Ordinal Models with an Application

In this article, we propose a Bayesian Adaptive bridge regression for ordinal model. We developed a new hierarchical model for ordinal regression in the Bayesian adaptive bridge. We consider a fully Bayesian approach that yields a new algorithm with tractable full conditional posteriors. All of the results in real data and simulation application indicate that our method is effective and performs very good compared to other methods. We can also observe that the estimator parameters in our proposed method, compared with other methods, are very close to the true parameter values.

Sol-gel method has been used to prepared nanosilica particle which used in this work as well as TiO2 nanopaowder.
