HUMAN MODELING IN THE IRAQI PRESS: (A Survey of Human Modeling for March And April 2011)

This research deals with what so called concept of The Human Model and how Iraqi Media concerns of this concept practically as it plays a key role in attracting readers, on the first hand. On the second, it is important to shed light on the scientific desire of the Iraqi Media and how it deals with this contemporary trend especially in editorial media.

The importance of the research stems from the fact that it alerts to a new stream of modern trends in journalistic writing, according to many modern Arab and foreign media studies; and to the importance of employing human modeling in dealing with facts, events, issues and problems in various editorial arts within their effective influence in conciliation.

If this trend can contribute to the use of the largest number of readers to follow the events and benefit from the use of human modeling in the delivering the required media message.

This study has ended by many conclusions:

  • The Iraqi press has embraced human modeling in social subjects rather than in other political and cultural issues.
  • The art of the column as the most prominent art employing human modeling was adopted. Then, it followed by the art of investigative journalism. Next, the art of news report, followed by articles in order.
  • Iraqi Media has adopted this concept especially in dealing with social events more than any other ones, i. e.; political and cultural. In principle, the study used columns to functionalize this concept. And, in a way or another, it also used features, stories and essays.
  • Emphasizing the use of known and unknown human models, as well as the employment of men and women of various functions and practical names, as models for the presentation of problems and events and facts and use them within the various press arts, in order to woo the reader towards this issue or that. This allowed readers to follow the issue or the incident without boredom, but recommends fans to use human modeling in journalistic writing should be taken care of and used in order to persuade the reader towards this event or that problem positively or negatively.

Extraction of Valuable Metals From Spent Hydrodesulfurization Catalyst By Two Stage Leaching Method

Spent hydrodesulfurization (Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3) catalyst generally contains valuable metals like molybdenum (Mo), cobalt (Co), aluminium (Al) on a supporting material, such as γ-Al2O3. In the present study, a two stages alkali/acid leaching process was conducted to study leaching of cobalt, molybdenum and aluminium from Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. The acid leaching of spent catalyst, previously treated by alkali solution to remove molybdenum, yielded a solution rich in cobalt and aluminium.

Linear Optical Properties of Bromocresol Green Dye Doped Poly Methyl Methacrylate Thin Films

In this study, we investigated the effect of Bromocresol green dye (BCG) of the PMMA thin films optical properties. Films of Poly Methyl Methacrylate doped by 10% BCG doping ratio to prepared two concentrations 2x10-4 and 6x10-4 M of PMMA-BCG dye were deposited on glass substrate using free casting method at room temperature. The optical properties of the films were determined using UV-Visible absorbance and transmittance spectra at the 300 - 900 nm wavelength range. The linear absorption coefficient and the extinction coefficient were calculated. Subsurface Imaging of 2D Seismic Data Using Kirchhoff Time Migration Method, Central Iraq

Kirchhoff Time Migration method was applied in pre-and post-Stack Time Migration for post-processing of images collected from Balad-Samarra (BS-92) survey line that is sited across Ajeel anticline oilfield. The results showed that Ajeel anticline structure was relocated at the correct position in the migrated stacked section. The two methods (Pre and Post) of migration processing showed enhanced subsurface images and increased horizontal resolution, which was clear after the broadening the syncline and narrowing or compressing the anticline. Subsurface Investigation of Tuba Oil Field Depending on 2D Seismic Reflection South Iraq

This study deals with the seismic reflection interpretation of Cretaceous Formations in Tuba oil field, southern Iraq, including structural and stratigraphic techniques. The study achieved by using Geofram , Geolog and Petrel software. The interpretation process, of 2-D seismic data and well logs have been used. Based on well logs and synthetic traces two horizons were identified and picked which are the tops of Mishrif and Zubair Formations. Study of cytotoxic Effects Alcoholic Nerium Oleander L. Extract on female Albino mice
