Fusarium wilt causes economic losses on tomatoes every year. Thus, a variety of chemicals have been used to combat the disease. Pesticides have been effective in managing the disease, but they keep damaging the environment. Recently, eco-friendly approaches have been used to control plant diseases. This study aimed to achieve an environmentally safe solution using biological agents to induce systemic resistance in tomato plants to control Fusarium wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici (FOL) in the greenhouse. The pathogen (FOL) has been molecularly confirmed and the biological agents have been isolated from the Iraqi environment. The effectiveness of the biological agents has been tested and confirmed. Results showed that the treatment of combined Pseudomonas fluorescence and Streptomyces sp. decreased the infection percentage and disease severity on tomato plants significantly more than the single treatment with either Streptomyces or Pseudomonas fluorescence. These results indicate a potential eco-friendly solution to control fusarium wilt on tomato plants.
Objectives: to assess nurses' knowledge toward infection control measures for hepatitis a virus in hemodialysis
units and to detemine the relationship between nurses' knowledge and their demographical characteristics.

A non-probability `tturposive" sample of (51) nurses, who were working in hemodialysis units were selected
from Baghdad teaching hosphals. The data were collected through the use of constructed questionnaire, which
consists of two parts (I) Demographic data fom that consists of 10 items and (2) Nurses' knowledge form that
consists of 6 sections contain 79 items, by means of direct interview techniq
A second-order sliding mode control is used for high-order uncertain plants using equivalent control approach to improve the performance of control systems. They combine backstepping with quasi-continuous controller and twisting controllers. This paper considers a two of the most popular controllers that are used to solve the nonlinearities problem which are the backstepping quasi-continuous control (BQCC) and backstepping twisting controllers to control the angular velocity of a hydraulic motor to improve tracking performance and robustness to uncertainties. For the system dynamics, a linear state feedback with suitable high gain was designed as the virtual controller, where steady state error can be made arbitrarily small according to the
... Show MoreThis research is a continued efforts for a project on the fire tube boiler control for Al Rasheed edible oil factory. The aim is to enhance the control system with new integral control one. A functional blocks diagram (FBD) was built and simulated. With Schneider smart relays, FBD differs than ladder logic programming in which the PID option is active. An extensive work was done to understand the operation sequence, emergency shutdown, and faults causing the trips. A control program was designed to control logical sequence of operation. Furthermore temperature is controlled via cascade control with fuel and air controllers. The temperature controller output is send as remote set point to the fuel controller in a serial cascade manner. The f

Show MoreThis paper suggests a novel optimal inverse Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network model for the control of Twin Rotor Aerodynamic Systems (TRAS), such as Multi-Input–Multi-Output (MIMO) systems with high nonlinearity and coupling effects between channels. After analyzing and linearizing the dynamic model, TRAS is decoupled into two Single Input Single Output (SISO) systems, thereby creating vertical (pitch model) and horizontal (yaw model) systems. The relationship between the output angle of each subsystem and the input voltage is modeled using the inverse RBF neural network. The weights, biases, centers and widths of the Gaussian function are unknown parameters of the proposed inverse neural model, and they are obtained usi
... Show MoreThis paper experimentally investigates the heating process of a hot water supply using a neural network implementation of a self-tuning PID controller on a microcontroller system. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm employed in system tuning proved very effective, as it is simple and fast optimization algorithm. The PSO method for the PID parameters is executed on the Matlab platform in order to put these parameters in the real-time digital PID controller, which was experimented with in a pilot study on a microcontroller platform. Instead of the traditional phase angle power control (PAPC) method, the Cycle by Cycle Power Control (CBCPC) method is implemented because it yields better power factor and eliminates harmonics
... Show MoreIn the last few years, there have been a lot of changes in the economy, society, and the environment. This has led to much competition between companies, directly and indirectly affecting production and marketing processes. Most companies are trying to cut production and manufacturing costs by using modern cost techniques such as product life cycle costing and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) technology, in the method of measuring production costs or service costs, and the need for internal control to keep an eye on how these technologies are being used and how well they work. And to find out the effect of internal control on the implementation of costing techniques in Iraqi companies, 64 questionnaires were given to people who work in the i
