The Internet of Things (IoT) has significantly transformed modern systems through extensive connectivity but has also concurrently introduced considerable cybersecurity risks. Traditional rule-based methods are becoming increasingly insufficient in the face of evolving cyber threats. This study proposes an enhanced methodology utilizing a hybrid machine-learning framework for IoT cyber-attack detection. The framework integrates a Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) for optimal feature selection, a customized synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) for data balancing, and a systematic approach to hyperparameter tuning of ensemble algorithms: Random Forest (RF), XGBoost, and CatBoost. Evaluations on the RT-IoT2022 dataset demonstrate that GWO reduces features from 32 to 21, thereby enhancing computational efficiency and interpretability without compromising accuracy, while customized SMOTE addresses class imbalance and enhances minority-class detection. The optimized RF and XGBoost models were assessed using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics, and achieved 100% accuracy with strong generalization. These results highlight the effectiveness of optimization-based feature selection and data balancing in improving IoT security that is extensible to deep learning and ensemble-based approaches.
Understanding how abiotic influences affect organisms and their interactions within ecological communities has long been of interest to ecologists. The significance of this comprehension has increased given rapid human-induced climate change. Wind speed variation is one of the less researched effects of climate change, as wind speeds worldwide are generally falling. Although wind is a fairly universal component of the environment, relatively little work has been conducted to integrate our knowledge of how wind affects interactions between different species. In this study, the influence of wind on bottom-up trophic interactions in the plant–ungulate–wolf food chain has been investigated through mathematical modeling. Positivity and bound

This feature allows for the early identification of potential issues with machinery, preventing them from reaching critical stages. This paper proposes an intelligent predictive maintenance system for industrial equipment monitoring. The system integrates Industrial IoT, MQTT messaging and machine learning algorithms. Vibration, current and temperature sensors collect real-time data from electrical motors which is analyzed using five ML models to detect anomalies and predict failures, enabling proactive maintenance. The MQTT protocol is used for efficient com

Show MoreThe topic of research (women and ideology in the feature film) is a series of researches addressed by the researcher on the subject of women in the feature film through studying the ideology as a thought and political system not only limited to the world of men, but women had a significant contribution in this area. The research identified the problem and its need as well as the objectives of the research and clarified its limits and importance. The research also identified the theoretical framework, which included the following axes: personality and ideology, film and ideology, then women and ideology in the film.
After the completion of the theoretical framework, the research concluded a set of indicators of the theoretic

Also clouds consider the key regulator for the average temperature of the plant. In this research monitoring and studying the cloud cover to know the clouds types and whether they are rainy or not rainy using visible and infrared satellite images. In order to interpret and know the types of the clouds visually without using any techniques, by comparing between the brightness and the shape of clouds in the same area for both the visible and infrared satellite images, where the differences in the contrasts of visible image are the albedo differences, while in the infrared images is the temperature d

Show MoreManufacturing industry is constantly looking for ways to improve the efficiency of production processes so as to lower production costs, maintain product quality, and improve production planning. This study aims to provide an integrated optimization and forecasting framework that combines Cutting Optimization Pro5, linear programming, and an Enhanced N-BEATS deep learning model to minimize material waste and manufacturing cost and to predict the number of production items with a price-reduction strategy. The real industrial case study is based on production and pricing data from the Akad factory of the General Company for Electrical and Electronic Products in Iraq for the period from 2014 to 2025, concerning the manufacture of 80 L

However, many issues surround the pipelines that transport these resources, including aging infrastructure, environmental impacts, and vulnerability to sabotage operations. Such issues can result in leakages in these pipelines, requiring significant effort to detect and pinpoint their locations. The objective of this project is to develop and implement a method for detecting oil spills caused by leaking oil pipelines using aerial images captured by a drone equipped with a Raspberry Pi 4. Using the message queuing telemetry transport Internet of Things (MQTT IoT) protocol, the acquired images and the global positioning system (GPS) coordinates of the images' acquisition are

Show MoreOne of the most important problems that faces the concrete industry in Iraq is the deterioration due to internal sulfate attack , since it reduces the compressive strength and increases the expansion of concrete. Consequently, the concrete structure may be damage .The effects of total and total effective sulfate contents on high strength concrete (HSC) have been studied in the present study.
The research studied the effect of sulfate content in cement , sand and gravel , as well as comparing the total sulfate content with the total effective SO3 content. Materials used were divided into two groups of SO3 in cement ,three groups of SO3 in sand ,and two groups of SO
