Controlling of Robot Hand by Using Microcontroller with Visual Basic

The robot arm is the most popular robotic form used in industry. Thus, it is crucial to make a system programming which could controlled the movement of each part in the industrial robot to make it works properly. One of the simplest models of the robot arm is EDARM ED-7100 which has a controller to control the movement of the robot arm manually. In this study, the robot controller has been redesigned in order to improve this robot's function. The new controller system used AT89S52 microcontroller which has wire connected to the robot hand. A function has been added with this controller to improve the system of controlling and becomes better than the previous system (only manually). The functions of the new system include three modes for operating: manual, automatic, and computer-based. Mathematical model has been derived through an empirical method to specify the robot configuration changes. It was found from the experiment that the robot arm's movement is following a linear function.

Hand Written Signature Verification based on Geometric and Grid Features

The fact that the signature is widely used as a means of personal verification
emphasizes the need for an automatic verification system. Verification can be
performed either Offline or Online based on the application. Offline systems work on
the scanned image of a signature. In this paper an Offline Verification of handwritten
signatures which use set of simple shape based geometric features. The features used
are Mean, Occupancy Ratio, Normalized Area, Center of Gravity, Pixel density,
Standard Deviation and the Density Ratio. Before extracting the features,
preprocessing of a scanned image is necessary to isolate the signature part and to

Effect of Steering Wheel Vibration on drivers Hands in a Two-Wheel Drivers Hand tractor

The paper presents research results of the vibration transmitted from the steering wheel of the tractor with a 2-wheel drive to the driver’s hands. The vibration measurements were carried out on the tractor randomly chosen from the collage of agriculture / university of Baghdad. Before testing the tractor was examined and adjusted following the producer’s recommendations. The vibration levels were measured during the operation tillage at idling and at full load .The field was 31.7 m above level sea.
