Nutrient and Water Use Efficiency of Broccoli Cultivated Hydroponically on Alternative Solution ABEER

Abstract<p>A Field experiment was conducted in Horticulture and Landscape Department, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, Al-Jadriah during fall 2019-2020 to study nutrient and water use efficiency of broccoli cultivated hydroponically on alternative solution ABEER. Nested design with three replications adopted in the experiment, each of them included in main plot the first factor, which is gas enrichment (O<sub>2</sub> and O<sub>3</sub>), Then levels of second factor were randomly distributed within each replicate, which included spraying with plants extracts which was Moringa leaves extract and Coconut water at two concentrations 2, 4 %and 50, 100 ml. L<sup>−1</sup> for each of them symbolized as T<sub>1</sub>, T<sub>2</sub>, T<sub>3</sub>, T<sub>4</sub> respectively, As well as control treatment T<sub>0</sub>. The results showed oxygen enrichment and T<sub>2</sub> increase most parameters (N, K%, Dry weight of the plant, ratio of dry weight of roots to shoot, plant yield, the use efficiency of N, P, k and fertilizer productivity), reaching 4.550, 3.142%, 174.79 g. Plant<sup>−1</sup>, 5.89, 901.50 g. Plant<sup>−1</sup>, 16.480, 2.348, 9.156 % and 4.285 kg yield. kg fertilizer, respectively, compared to the control treatment O<sub>2</sub>T<sub>0</sub> (3.530, 2.950 %, 108.57g. Plant<sup>−1</sup>,4.33, 711.66 g. Plant<sup>−1</sup> respectively. We concluded that it is possible to culture the broccoli hydroponically and increase its productivity and fertilizer productivity through spraying with the coconut water 100 ml. L<sup>−1</sup> and oxygen enrichment.</p>

Use of Panel Method in High Subsonic and Transonic Aerodynamic Analysis of Complex Aircraft Configuration

The application of low order panel method with the Dirichlet boundary condition on complex aircraft configuration have been studied in high subsonic and transonic speeds. Low order panel method has been used to solve the case of the steady, inviscid and compressible flow on a forward swept wing – canard configuration with cylindrical fuselage and a vertical stabilizer with symmetrical cross section. The aerodynamic coefficients for the forward swept wing aircraft were calculated using measured wake shape from an experimental work on same model configuration. Adsorptive Removal Of Congo Red From Aqueous Solution By Local Chaff Surface: Thermodynamics And Kinetics Studies

The adsorption isotherm is of L-curve type according to Giles classification and the experimental data were best fitted to Langmuir isotherm model. The adsorption phenomenon was examined as a function of temperature (25, 40, 55 oC).
