Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the foremost cause of end-stage renal disease. Early detection of DN can spare diabetic patients of severe complications. This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of red cell distribution width (RDW) and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in the detection of DN in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This cross-sectional study included a total of 130 patients with T2DM, already diagnosed with T2DM. The albumin creatinine ratio (ACR) in urine samples was calculated for each patient, according to which patients were divided into two groups: with evidence of DN when ACR ? 30 mg/g, and those with no evidence of DN when ACR < 30 mg/g. According to multivariate analysis, each of disease duration (OR = 4.43, 95% CI = 1.68-11.68, p = 0.003), HbA1c (OR = 6.4, 95% CI = 2.32-17.65, p < 0.001) and NLR (OR = 13.75, 95% CI = 1.68-11.68, p < 0.001) were independent predictors for DN. Using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve to evaluate the diagnostic value of NLR revealed that the AUC was 0.736 (95% CI = 0.635-0.837), p < 0.001. The sensitivity and specificity of the test at the cut-off value of NLR = 3.35 was 69% and 89%, respectively. These data indicate that NLR is a simple non-expensive test that can be used regularly to investigate diabetic patients for the development of DN. Red cell distribution width (RDW), on the other hand, had no diagnostic value in this regard.
Background: The problem of difficult gallbladder is not clearly defined and associated with real missing of therapeutic approaches that decreased morbidity. Moreover, the difficult gallbladder was reported as a contributing risk factor for biliary injury due to raised difficulty in surgical dissection within Calot’s triangle. The aim of this study is to determine the surgical outcomes of the open fundus-first cholecystectomy in lowering the rate of lethal intraoperative risks.
Subjects and Methods: Our prospective study conducted during the period of January 2019 to December 2022 at Ibn Sina specialized hospital, Khartoum, Sudan, for two hundred and fifty-three patients underw

The lexicographic analysis of these words makes it possible to identify controversial issues related to their etymology and semantic development.
The study is conducted by the use of the modern Russian and Arabic dictionary, specifically, (Intermediate lexicon Dictionary

Materials and methods: 50 patients divided into two equal groups, Group 1 gingivectomy was done by Diode Laser, Group 2 gingivectomy was done by scalpel, plaque and gingival index were measured at 1st, 2nd and 3rd visit, swab were taken and sent foe detecting bacterial growth and biopsy were taken for histopathological examination. Group 1 show no significant differences in plaque and gingival means between the visits, the bacteriological examination showed no growth of bact

The colloidal gold nanoparticles were characterized by SEM, EDX, and UV-VIS absorption spectroscopy. It was found that the variation of reduction time from boiling point affects the size of the nanoparticles and also in chemical reduction approach the size of nanoparticles can be controlled by varying the amount of variation the volume of reductant material with respect to the volume of HAuCL4.
Abstract Testicular swelling in animal must be treated as serious dangerous condition , it may be resulted from many causes conditions such as Bacterial , Viral , Fungal infection and testicular neoplasia may also follow this case history was buck show sign of unilateral testicular enlargement , the general condition was good , the sexual desire was not be appeared because the buck was out of the reproductive season . Ultrasonography examination was performed to detect any form of tissue formation and assessed the testicular tissue. Histopathological assessment had been done by taking a biopsy from the infected testis using a biopsy gun according to the results of ultrasonographic examination, and histopathological

To achieve the research objectives, a questionnaire of (15) items was administered to a sample of (600) male and female students collected from ten different colleges at the university of Baghdad. The findings of the research illustrated that item (8) took priority as students believe there is a misleading about coronavirus spreading by governments, item (2) which indicated that coronavirus is man-made took level two, followed by item (10), it proposes that coronavirus emerged from the American military base in china. Transverse sections of kidney stained with hematoxylin and eosin showed two distinct regions, the outer thin darkly stained cortex and inner thick lightly stained medulla, which further subdivided into external and internal medullary zones linked with one conical renal papilla. The lateral margin of the outer medullary tissue forms a secondary renal pyramid with a specialized fornix. All the nephrons in the kidney start with the renal corpuscle [Malpighian], which is formed from two distinct parts, these are a centrally located glomerulus, which represented by a tuft of blood capillaries and an outer Bowman’s capsu

The spectrum of the solution (Emission) was studied and found to be at 772 nm, several process parameters were such as concentration of TiO2 , and the effect of distance from nozzle tip to the grounded collector (gap distance). The result of the lower concentration of, the smaller the diameter of nanofiber is. Increasing the gap distance will affect nanofibers diameter.
