Semi-analytical iteration techniques for solving differential equations
...Show More Authors

The main objective of this work is to use and compare some techniques, namely the variational Iteration method (VIM), Decomposition Method (ADM), Differential Transform Method (DTM), and Temimi and Ansari Method (TAM) for differential equations of the first and second orders that appeared in physics and engineering. Notably, the results indicate that the VIM gives a solution in series form, which converges to an exact solution;. At the same time, DTM is easy to apply but requires transformation, ADM does not need any transformation except the calculation of Adomain polynomials. TAM solved nonlinear problems in much easier iteration steps, which converge to the true solution without applying any assumption. The results obtained converge rapidly to the exact solution.

A Review of Historical Studies for Water Saturation Determination Techniques
...Show More Authors

Water saturation is the most significant characteristic for reservoir characterization in order to assess oil reserves; this paper reviewed the concepts and applications of both classic and new approaches to determine water saturation. so, this work guides the reader to realize and distinguish between various strategies to obtain an appropriate water saturation value from electrical logging in both resistivity and dielectric has been studied, and the most well-known models in clean and shaly formation have been demonstrated. The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in conventional and nonconventional reservoirs has been reviewed and understood as the major feature of this approach to estimate Water Saturation based on T2 distribution. Comparison of classical method and optimization methods for estimating parameters in nonlinear ordinary differential equation
...Show More Authors

 ABSTRICT:

This study is concerned with the estimation of constant  and time-varying parameters in non-linear ordinary differential equations, which do not have analytical solutions. The estimation is done in a multi-stage method where constant and time-varying parameters are estimated in a straight sequential way from several stages. In the first stage, the model of the differential equations is converted to a regression model that includes the state variables with their derivatives and then the estimation of the state variables and their derivatives in a penalized splines method and compensating the estimations in the regression model. In the second stage, the pseudo- least squares method was used to es

Faber Polynomial Coefficient Estimates for Subclass of Analytic Bi-Bazilevic Functions Defined by Differential Operator
...Show More Authors

In this work,  an explicit formula for a class of Bi-Bazilevic univalent functions involving differential operator is given, as well as the determination of upper bounds for the general Taylor-Maclaurin coefficient of a functions belong to this class, are established Faber polynomials are used as a coordinated system to study the geometry of the manifold of coefficients for these functions. Also determining bounds for the first two coefficients of such functions.

In certain cases, our initial estimates improve some of the coefficient bounds and link them to earlier thoughtful results that are published earlier.

Sufficient conditions for the oscillation of solutions of third-order neutral difference equations with alternating coefficients
...Show More Authors

This study deals with 3rd-order difference equations with alternating coefficients (NDEAC) with a focus on studying the oscillatory properties of their solutions. An additional sufficient condition can be derived to ensure continuity for the oscillatory solution in equations. An applied example is presented to illustrate the theoretical result obtained.

CROSS-SECTIONAL REGRESSION WITH PROXIES: A SEMI-PARAMETRIC METHOD
...Show More Authors

This study investigates asset returns within the Iraq Stock Exchange by employing both the Fama-MacBeth regression model and the Fama-French three-factor model. The research involves the estimation of cross-sectional regressions wherein model parameters are subject to temporal variation, and the independent variables function as proxies. The dataset comprises information from the first quarter of 2010 to the first quarter of 2024, encompassing 22 publicly listed companies across six industrial sectors. The study explores methodological advancements through the application of the Single Index Model (SIM) and Kernel Weighted Regression (KWR) in both time series and cross-sectional analyses. The SIM outperformed the K

Duality of St-closed submodules and semi-extending modules
...Show More Authors

The main goal of this paper is to dualize the two concepts St-closed submodule and semi-extending module which were given by Ahmed and Abbas in 2015. These dualizations are called CSt-closed submodule and cosemi-extending mod- ule. Many important properties of these dualizations are investigated, as well as some others useful results which mentioned by those authors are dualized. Furthermore, the relationships of cosemi-extending and other related modules are considered.
