Three groups of subjects have been divided (25/group): healthy normotensive non-pregnant women (Group A), normal normotensive pregnant women (Group B), and women with preeclampsia (Group C).The levels of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin , creatinine , blood urea nitrogen, triglyceride , total cholesterol and glucose have been estimated in all subjects. All measured parameters were determined by spectrophotometric analysis. The pharmacophore 2-aminothiazole has an interesting role in pharmaceutical chemistry as this led to the synthesis of many types of compounds with diverse biological activity. Schiff base derivatives at the same time contribute to drug evolution importantly. In this review, the Schiff base derivatives of 2-aminothiazole formed and some of their metal complexes are being focused on, and the antimicrobial and anticancer activity of them is being illustrated.

Objectives: Two derivatives of cephalexin were synthesized by reaction with isatin-glycine Schiff base and bromoisatin-glycine Schiff base separately. Methods: Cephalexin was linked through the amine group to isatin glycine and bromoisatin glycine Schiff bases by amide bond formation. Results: These derivatives were characterized by FT-IR, H-NMR, elemental CHN analysis and then tested for their antimicrobial activity compared to cephalexin against gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria and Candida albicans fungi. Conclusion: The two compounds showed better activity against Staphylococcus aureus, compound 3b is more active against Escherichia coli, and compound 3a is more active against Klebsiella pneumonia.

From a health standpoint, fluoride (F) is a vital element for humans. It had harmful effects on numerous organs when consumed in high dosages. Fluoride poisoning has been linked to liver damage. The purpose of this study was to see how sodium fluoride (Naf) affected liver function and the glycemic index in adult male albino rats. Fourteen (14) adult male Wistar albino rats were randomly and evenly divided into two groups and given the following treatments for thirty (30) days: G1 Group (Control group), were given distilled water and fed a balanced diet, G2 rats were administered water that contained 100 ppm Naf.
