Esta idea de trabajo surge de la necesidad de los estudiantes iraquíes para ampliar su conocimiento y competencia traductora en dicho campo. En las últimas décadas los medios audiovisuales (el cine) se han convertido en una herramienta indispensable en el contexto educativo en general. Su importancia se destaca especialmente por ser una herramienta poderosa para fomentar el aprendizaje de idiomas y promover la comunicación y el entendimiento entre diferentes culturas. Además, ha venido desempeñando un papel relevante en las clases de español en contextos de no inmersión, puesto que, plantea escenarios reales para conocer el contexto de habla de la lengua extranjera. Ante este importante hecho, el presente articulo pretende revisar cuál es el papel de los medios audiovisuales (el cine) en el desarrollo de las destrezas de comprensión y expresión oral en el aula de ELE.
