Motivational efficacy of lasers on marrow haemopoetic cells
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Lasers has been proved to increase tissue oxygenation, activate marrow progenitor cells, expanse the microcirculation, accelerate the restoration of functions, stimulate adaptation ability and stabilization of the hormonal status. The semisolid tissue present in the epiphysis of the bone where it’s structure is spongy or cancellous is bone marrow and it formed about 4% of body weight, the marrow is composed of hemopoietic cells, however, the structure of the marrow is of both cellular and non – cellular components. The hemopoietic stem cells are responsible of producing white blood cells, red corpuscles, platelets in addition to the fibroblasts, macrophages, adipocytes, osteoblasts, osteocytes and osteoclasts, the current study aimed to detect the effects of lasers on the bone marrow. Twenty four adult New Zealand male rabbits were used in the study, they were divided into two groups with twelve rabbits each; the first group was treated with He-Ne laser for ten days. the second group was treated with diode laser for ten days. Three rabbits from each group underwent bone marrow aspiration to detect the marrow status assessed by special laboratory investigation at the days “1, 7, 14 & 21 “using “18-ga “gauge needle introduced to the marrow cavity through a small hall done in the trochanteric fossa. Samples collected from animals of different groups examined haematollogically using Wright’s stain. Results of the hematological examinations revealed that low level laser application stimulates the bone marrow and induce the infiltration of the tissues with high numbers of blood cells which were formed by increase mitosis and haemopoiesis to great levels. Conclusions can be done that the irradiation of the marrow with the lasers regardless it’s kind was very efficient to make the marrow of the adult rabbits which tend to be yellow in nature motivated and restore it’s capability of producing of the hemopoietic stem cells and mature blood cells</p>

Efficacy of Bacillus thuringiensis (Berliner) isolates on fig moth, Ephestia cautella (Walker) Larvae
...Show More Authors

The following dilution 5×10-1, 10-1, 10?2 , 10-3 gm/L for the indigenous isolate of Bacillus thuringiensis bacteria and the commercially isalate were used for experiments against the different stages of fig moth of E.cautella which exposed by filter paper method. The results showed that mortality of larval stages was increased with the increasing concentration of the biocide, in addition to increase in the mortality of the larval stages reached to the highest percentage in the third days of treatment of the larval stage in comparison with the first and second days of exposure. The results also showed that the sensitivity of larval stages was increased in first and second instars while reduced in the last instars .The high percentage

Efficacy of some drugs and pathological studies on Toxoplasma gondii infection in mice.
...Show More Authors

The study was conducted to determine the effect Toxoplasma gondii and the efficacy of azithromycin and garlic tablets on the treatment of acute murine toxoplasmosis and observe the histopathological changes due to infection. 60 Albino mice were divided into six groups, and their survival rate, pathology, bioassay trial and immunofluorescence were observed. Results revealed that azithromycin (250 mg/kg/day) given to infected mice increased the survival rate (90% on day 7 PI) and decreased the histopathological changes when compared with the control groups. Garlic tablets (500 mg/kg/day) had lesser effect on infected mice, and the survival rate (40% at days 6 and 7 PI) was lower than the groups treated with azithromycin. The group treated wit

The Efficacy of Er:YAG Laser on Intrapulpal Temperature Rise of Class V Cavity Preparation
...Show More Authors

The objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of class V Er:YAG laser (2940 nm) cavity preparation and conventional bur cavity preparation regarding Intrapulpal temperature rise during cavity preparation in extracted human premolar teeth. Twenty non carious premolar teeth extracted for orthodontic purposes were used and class V cavity preparation was applied both buccal and lingual sides for each tooth .Samples were equally grouped into two major groups according to cavity depth (1mm and 2mm). Each major group was further subdivided into two subgroupsof ten teeth for each (twenty cavities for each subgroup). TwinlightEr:YAG laser (2940 nm) with 500mJ pulse energy, P.R.R of 10 Hz and 63.69 J/cm2 energy density was used. The ana

The effect of solar cells distribution on the Performance of solar panel
...Show More Authors

Three different distribution modules of silicon solar cells in a panel are used in this study . Each module consists of five identical circular silicon solar cells of radius (5cm) and then the total panel areas are identical. The five solar cells are arranged in the panel in different shapes: circular, triangular and rectangular .The efficiency for these three panel distribution are measured indoor and outdoor. The results show that the efficiency is a function of the cells distribution.

Efficacy of Autogenous Dentin Biomaterial on Alveolar Ridge Preservation: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial
...Show More Authors

Background. After tooth extraction, alveolar bone resorption is inevitable. This clinical phenomenon challenges dental surgeons aiming to restore esthetic and function. Alveolar ridge preservation can be applied to minimize dimensional changes with a new socket grafting material, an autogenous dentin graft, produced by mechanically and chemically processing natural teeth. This study assessed the safety and efficacy of using autogenous dentin biomaterial in alveolar ridge preservation. Materials and Methods. Patients with nonrestorable maxillary anterior teeth bounded by natural sound teeth were included in this study. After a detailed clinical and tomographic examination, eligibl

This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Saccharomyces cerevesiae as a growth promoting agent in tomato. Soaking the seeds in yeast suspension at 5 g/L for 12h increased germination percentage, root length, root fresh and dry weight, plant height, foliage fresh and dry weight, attained 88.5% ; 8.1 cm ; 84.3 mg ; 7.03 mg ; 10.75 cm ; 839 mg and 37.75 mg compared with 80% ; 5.33 cm ; 39 mg ; 4.8 mg ; 7.35 cm ; 608 mg and 25.5 mg in seedlings grown from non treated seeds respectively. Similar results were obtained with seedling from seeds soaked in S. cerevesiae filtrate for 12 hrs. with values of 77.5% ; 6.875 cm ; 91.5 mg ; 7.5 mg ; 9.5 cm ; 777 mg and 40.35 mg compared to 66% ; 5.8 cm ; 57.7 mg ; 5.03 mg ; 5.9 cm ; 493 mg
