I graduated in biology from college of Sciences/ University of Baghdad in 1988 and then I worked in private laboratories for two years. In 1992 I was accepted as a scholarship to study for a master's degree in physiology/endocrinology and reproduction at the College of Science, University of Baghdad. In 1999, I got a job as an assistant lecturer of physiology at Al-Kindy College of Medicine. In 2006, I started my PhD in microbiology at at Mustansiriya college of medicine, and I completed my studies in 2010, where I submitted my thesis entitled: Study of Some Pathogens in Vaginal Discharge of Pregnant Women and Their Relation to Serum Levels of Some Cytokines. Then I moved to work at International center for early detection of breast and cervix cancer/ College of Medicine-Baghdad university. in 2012 I joined college of pharmacy as a lecturer of microbiology/ immunology then in 2016, I succeed to have promotion to assistant professor in immunology also I was assigned to work as a rapporteur for the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department. Know I give lectures in microbiology, immunology and viruses for undergraduate and postgraduate students, in addition to my responsibilities in supervision of MSc degree and PhD students.
