Zahraa mohsin hammoodi almuwai, received the B.Sc. in pharmacy, from the college of pharmacy / university of Baghdad (2001), worked as a pharmacist in the Ministry of Health, at Ministry of health-medical city complex- nursing home hospital from 2001 to 2003, then appointed as a participant pharmacist in the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, in 2003. I obtained the M.Sc. degree in biopharmaceutics from the college of pharmacy / university of Baghdad (2009), I am a lecturer in the college of pharmacy / university of Baghdad department of pharmaceutics (from 2021 till now), Taught for 16 years at college of pharmacy laboratories, I have supervised numerous graduation projects from 2010 till now, I have published 5 researchs and 2 review articles in the field of pharmacy/ pharmaceutics. **

Objective: Matrix tablet approach is one of the delivery systems intended for poorly water-soluble drugs, like candesartan cilexetil (CC). CC is a class II drug used for the treatment of hypertension. Methods: Matrix tablets from (F1x to F18z) were prepared in the presence of β‑cyclodextrin. Matrix tablet formulation ensures control release of the drug and higher dissolution by β‑cyclodextrin. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used to study compatibility.
