I obtained a degree in biology from the University of Baghdad in 1998 and subsequently served as laboratory instructor in the clinical laboratory science in college of pharmacy. After completing my master’s degree in microbiology in 2006, I returned as a faculty member in the Department of clinical laboratory science at the University of Baghdad. In 2010, I commenced my Ph.D. studies in microbiology, which I completed in 2014. I currently serve as a faculty member with the rank of assistant professor in the Department of clinical laboratory science. I possess over 18 years of experience in clinical laboratory science research and have authored more than 14 publications.

My research interest concerns pathogenicity of bacteria especially Helicobacter pylori and particularly lipopolysaccharide and their role in pathogenicity, and development h. pylori treatment method. A number of projects concern caseinase production by using optimized media, others projects concern prevalence of HTLV-1&2 in many Iraqi provinces among blood donors, and prevalence of syphilis. Many projects concern immunity especially Natural Killer Cell and their role in lung cancer.
