تمثلت الاستعارة بقيام المصمم بتأصيل الخطاب التصميميّ عن طريق تمثيله لمجموعة من الرموز التراثية والحضارية المهمّة في تاريخ مجتمعه، ليفصح بها عن هُويته الحضارية والبيئية، وهذا قد يعكس قوة تعالق واعتزاز المصممّ بالجذور، ورغبته الجامحة في إظهار قوة الهُوية في مجمل أرجاء الأزياء، إذ إنّ الاستعارة تُعدّ مرآةً تعكس قدرة الخيال على رصد دلائل التشابه في الكون ، وهي وسيلة تعيد تشكيل الكون عن طريق تكّوين واقع جديد.

تتنوع المستويات الدلالية في العرض المسرحي بتنوع مرجعياتها، فقد شكّلت تلك المرجعيات حلقة الوصل بين الخطاب ومتلقيه، إذ تختلف تفسيرات العرض باختلاف تلك المرجعيات بين الطرفين. يرسم هذا البحث مساره في أربعةِ فصول يتطرّق الفصل الأول (المنهجي) الى (مشكلة البحث) التي تحددت بتنوّع المستويات الدلالية الأمر الذي أدى الى اشتباك تلك الدلالات والمضامين التي نتجت عنها. و(أهمية البحث) كونه يدرس ظاهرة تعدّد مستويات الدلالة
