The potential to remove Pb(II) from aqueous solutions through biosorption using four raw dead plant biomasses (karab, bardie, rice hulls and corn-cobs) was investigated in batch tests and compared with that for the PAC. From tests, it was found that the four types of dead-plant biomasses had shown high removal efficiency with the descending order (karab, bardie, rice hulls and corn cobs). Their percent removal (% R) of Pb(II) were (98.76, 96.10, 95.16 and 94.70) respectively at pH 4 with 0.2 g of sorbent/100 ml of 10 ppm lead solution , while it was (99.8 %) for PAC. Generally through batch system at a laboratory scale, karab has proved to be an efficient biosorbent for the removal of Pb(II) from aqueous solutions with low initial ion co

Show MoreThe Decimation in Frequencey Fast Fourier Transform (DIF FFT) is a computationally intensive digital signal processing function widely used in applications such as imaging and wireless communication. Historically, this has been a relatively difficult function to implement optimally in hardware, leading many software designers to use digital signal processors (DSPs) in soft implementations. Unfortunately, because of the funetion's computationally intensive nature, such an approach typically requires multiple DSPs within the system to support the processing requirements. This is costly from a device and board real-estate perspective as well as power intensive

This research investigated the influence of silica fume (SF) on the susceptibility to moisture. Three concentrations of silica fume were used 3%, 6%, and 9% by weight of the binder. A thermal camera has been used to detect variations in homogeneity in the modified asphalt during the mixing process. The optimal asphalt content was 4.92, 5.02, 5.16, and 5.22 for the control and modified mixtures. The moisture susceptibility was evaluated by measuring the tensile strength ratio (TSR) and index of retained strength (IRS). The thermal images s

The Shatt Al-Arab River, in southern Iraq, flows southeastwards through Basrah City to the Arabian Gulf. Seven creeks are branched off the river: Jubyla, Muftya, Robat, Khandek, Ashar, Khora, and Saraji, where they are affected by tidal phenomena. The change in the hydrological status of the river over the last decade has adversely affected the quality of the river's water. Urban sewage and industrial wastewater are usually discharged directly or indirectly into the river. The entire river's course is studied, starting at the point where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers meet in the Qurnah district and extending into the vicinity of the river's estuary. First case, single robot wants to reach a goal in the static environment that contain two obstacles and two danger source. The second one, is improving the ability for five robots to reach the shortest way. The proposed algorithm solves the optimization problems for the first case by finding the minimum distance from initial to goal position and also ensuring that the generated path has a maximum distance from the danger zones. And for the second case, finding the shortest path for every robot and without any collision between them with the shortest time. In ord
