The shell model calculations with Cohen-Kurath (C-K) interaction were carried out to investigate form factors of elastic transverse electron scattering, and magnetic dipole-moments of odd 7,9,11Be isotopes. The effect of the exact value of center of mass correction was adopted to generate the magnetic form factors in Born approximation picture. The contribution of the higher 2p-shell configuration was included to reproduce the experimental data. A significant improvement was obtained in the present results with core-polarization (CP) effect through the effective g-factors. The occupancies percentage with respect to the valence nucleons was also calculated.
Eight white male NewZeland rabbits were used to study the effect of hyperprolactinaemia on the liver tissue. Suliprid (8 mg / kg) was used to elevate prolactin level in the serum four rabbits and the another four rabbits used as a control group. The liver histological study showed that there was a significant increase in the number of dinucleated parenchyma cells, significant increase in the number of Kupffer's cell and in the number of liver parenchyma diameters. Also the study showed enlargement in the central blood vessel diameter and sinusoid and increase in lymphocyte migration. The results obtained in this study showed that there was a role for prolactin on liver function.
The present study was held to evaluate the performance of Iraqi porcelanite rock as a filter media in the treatment of drinking water supplies. The performance of Sand filter and dual media filter composed of porcelanite and sand were also studied.
It was concluded that the porcelanite filter and/ or dual filter can be used instead of sand filter present within the local treatment plants to attain better performance due to expected performance of porcelanite without any mechanical modification of a filter.
Fabrication and investigation of the properties of CdSe/ZnS core/shell for the luminescent solar concentrates (LSC) application is presented. An increase of the efficiency of a silicon solar cell was obtained by applying the LSC. The increase was a result of the optical properties of the semiconductor nanoparticles CdSe/ZnS core/shell that were deposited over the top surface of the silicon solar cell facing the illumination source (Halogen lamp). The gravity force was invested for the film deposition process. The optical properties of these nanoparticles were studied. The absorption spectra for the CdSe/ZnS core-shell were 270-600nm, i.e., located within the spectral response area of the examined solar cell. The energy gap values for CdSe

Rutting or permanent deformation is the leading cause of pavement deterioration in temperature and warm climatic regions of the world and low – temperature cracking is a common problem in cold regions. As the highway pavement infrastructure has aged and deteriorated, more pavements are in need of maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. This is traditionally done by placing hot mix asphalt overlay.

In this research we study the effect of the light distribution on the quality of
captured images under different amount of lightness conditions then enhancing the
captured images by the imaging system using an adaptive histogram equalization

In this paper, an adaptive selective predictive coding method is proposed for
intraframe coding techniques. The adopted techniques overcome the complexity
residual ideal case (i.e., residual does not become random noise) where the residual
still suffers from the existence of redundancy. The suggested techniques attempt to
sift over any redundancy embedded in the residual where the quality improves than
that of traditional predictive coding, selective predictive coding and of fixed
predictor coding.
In order to classify a image texture it must be segmented into a number of
regions. each region have the same properties. a circular mask has been used. after
the required region is obtained a intensity histogram and then as set of histogram
features has been calculated in order to classify the required images.
The statistical features of a mammogram are extracted using image processing

Detection of pathogenic bacteria, such as Listeria monocytogenes, in food is crucial for safeguarding public health in Iraq. Forty five samples of frozen meat (15 samples of each of minced red meat, chicken, and fish) were collected from different markets in Baghdad city. Molecular (RT-PCR) and culturing (conventional microbiological examination) methods were used to determine the level of contamination of L. monocytogenes in these types of meat.
For the culturing method, TSYEB broth was used as an enrichment medium, whereas BALCAM medium (HiMedia) with the listeria selective supplement FD061 was used as a selective medium, for the isolation and identification of this bacterium. The isolates were con

members of the urban community. The evaluation of the performance measures
relies on the accuracy and reliability of the collected traffic data.
This study investigates traffic speed measurement using GPS technique for parts of
Al-Karada Khareeg road by identify the congested segments. The collected GPS

In this present paper, an experimental study of some plasma characteristics in dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) system using several variables, such as different frequencies and using two different electrodes metals(aluminium (Al) and copper (Cu)), is represented. The discharge plasma was produced by an AC power supply source of 6 and 7 kHz frequencies for the nitrogen gas spectrum and for two different electrodes metals(Al and Cu). Optical emission spectrometer was used to study plasma properties (such as electron temperature ( ), electron number density ( ), Debye length ( ), and plasma frequency ( )). In addition, images were analysed for the plasma emission intensity at atmospheric air pressure.
Various document types play an influential role in a lot of our lives activities today; hence preserving their integrity is an important matter. Such documents have various forms, including texts, videos, sounds, and images. The latter types' authentication will be our concern here in this paper. Images can be handled spatially by doing the proper modification directly on their pixel values or spectrally through conducting some adjustments to some of the addressed coefficients. Due to spectral (frequency) domain flexibility in handling data, the domain coefficients are utilized for the watermark embedding purpose. The integer wavelet transform (IWT), which is a wavelet transform based on the lifting scheme,

This paper is devoted to the study of the peristaltic transport of viscoelastic non-Newtonian fluids with fractional Maxwell model in an inclined channel. Approximate analytical solutions have been constructed using Adomain decomposition method under the assumption of long wave boundary layer type approximation and low Reynolds number. The effect of each of relaxation time, fractional parameters, Reynolds number, Froude number, inclination of channel and amplitude on the pressure difference, friction force and stream function along one wavelength are received and analyzed.
This paper proposes a method for automatic adaptation of segmentation control parameters based on Genetic Algorithms. The goals of automatic adaptation of segmentation parameters in this research are to provide continuous adaptation to normal environmental variation conditions such as (time of day, weather) to exhibit learning capability and to provide robust performance when interacting with a dynamic environment. The research intended to adapt the performance of a well known existing segmentation method (Recursive region growing Algorithms) across a wide variety of environmental conditions which cause changes in the image characteristics and maximizes the segmentation quality measures. Experimental results are given that indicate the a
