This paper concerns is the preparation and characterization of a bidentate ligand [4-(5,5- dimethyl-3-oxocyclohex-1-enylamino)-N-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yl) benzene sulfonamide]. The ligand was prepared from fusing of sulfamethoxazole and dimedone at (140) ºC for half hour. The complex was prepared by refluxing the ligand with a bivalent cobalt ion using ethanol as a solvent. The prepared ligand and complex were identified using Spectroscopic methods. The proposed tetrahedral geometry around the metal ions studied were concluded from these measurements. Both molar ratio and continuous variation method were studied to determine metal to ligand ratio (M:L). The M to L ratio was found to be (1:1). The adsorption of cobalt complex was carried out using bentonite as adsorbent. The optimization of the adsorption conditions were studied as a function of contact time , temperature , pH , adsorbent weight and particle size. The results revealed that the time needed to reach concentration equilibrium was 60 min for cobalt complex. While the trend of the adsorption isotherm was L1 type according to Giles classification . Thermodynamic functions (ΔH, ΔG, and ΔS) were calculated.
In this work, the preparation of new multidentate Schiff-base lig and and its metal complexes are described. The formation of the lig and{ 2,2`((5-methyl-1,3-phenylene)-bis-(oxy))-bis-N`(E`)-2- hydroxybenzylideneacetohydrazide}[H2L] was prepared from the reaction {2,2-((5-methyl-1,3-phenylene)-bis-(oxy))- di-(acetohydrazide)}[M]precursor and salicylaldehyde in a 1:2 mole ratio, respectively. The reaction of the lig and [H2L] with (Cr+3 , Mn+2 and Fe+2 )metal ions in a 1:2 (L:M) mole ratio. Ligand and complexes were characterised via spectroscopic analyses; [FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy,(C.H.N) microanalysis, chloride content, thermal analysis(TG), electrospray mass, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The reaction has been carried out in ethanol under reflux and stirring condition for 3.5 hrs. All syntheses were carried out under hydrogen gas forming a new potassium (E)-1-hydroxy-2-(2-hydroxyphenylimino)ethanolate ligand type [NO2]. The ligand of the general formula K2[Mn(L2)] type and its Mnп complex K2[Mn(N2O4)] type, has been characterized by spectroscopic methods (F.T-I.R. and U.V-Vis.), elemental analysis (C.H.N) metal content, magnetic susceptibility measurement, Thin-layer chromatography (T.L.C), X-RD powder diffraction, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR molar conductanc

The structure of 1 azo compound was someone by elemental analyses, HNMR, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic mechanics. Metal complexes of nickel (II) and copper (II) have been performed and depicted. The formation of complexes has been identified by using flame atomic absorption, (C.H.N) Analysis, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectral process as well as, conductivity and magnetic properties quantifications. The nature of the complexes formed were studied succeed the mole ratio and continuous variation methods, Beer's law followed over a concentration 4 4 scope (1×10- - 3×10- M). High molar absorbtivity of the complex solutions were observed. Analytica

The formation of iron, cobalt and antimony (FeCoSb) alloy nanopowder was monitored by X-ray diffraction. The x-ray diffraction pattern indicates that there are iron, cobalt and antimony peaks. Optical properties of this alloy nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Visible absorption spectra. The absorption peak position is shifted to the lower wavelengths when the current increases. That means the mean size of the nanoparticles controlled by changing the magnitude of the current. The surface morphological analysis is carried out by employing Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
