The Spotlight Effect, defined as individuals' tendency to overestimate the extent to which others notice and evaluate them, has important implications for psychological functioning, social interaction, and performance in educational and sport environments. Despite previous studies have addressed the Spotlight Effect theoretically and empirically, no validated instrument has been specifically developed to assess this construct especially among students of Colleges of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. This study aimed to develop and validate a Spotlight Effect Scale and establishing normative levels for its interpretation. The descriptive survey approach was used, involving 555 students from Colleges of Physical Education and Sport Sciences across all stages of scale development. The final scale consists of 21 items representing three dimensions: cognitive, emotional, and behavioral, with seven items per dimension. Based on the theoretical framework adopted in the present study, the researchers hypothesized a three-component structure, and the factor analysis results were consistent with this proposed structure. The three components explained 58.754% of the total variance, with a KMO value of .895 and a significant Bartlett's test (p < .001). The scale demonstrated high internal consistency, with Cronbach's alpha of .950 for the total scale and ranging from .868 to .911 across the three dimensions. The findings indicate that the developed scale provides a valid and reliable standardized measure of the Spotlight Effect among university students in sport sciences and may support future research and educational and counseling applications. This serves one of the Sustainable Development Goals (quality education).

Objectives: To assess nurses-midwives' knowledge about pain management during labor before and after implementation of educational program and to determine the effectiveness of educational program on nurses-midwives' knowledge about pain management during labor in Baghdad Maternity Hospitals.
Methodology: A quasi-experimental design has been conducted during the period of (February 27th 2019 through 2nd June 2019) on non-probability sample (purposive) consists of (44 Nurses/midwives') who are work in delivery room, the sample was exposed to pretest, educational program, posttest. The study was conducted in three Directories, (Baghdad Teaching Hospital) at medical city health

Limited data exist on how well first-time mothers understand the indications for their cesarean section in Iraq. Objective: To assess maternal knowledge of the medical reasons for the first cesarean delivery and its relationship with sociodemographic, obstetric, and neonatal characteristics. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from October to December 2023 among 158 Iraqi women who underwent their first cesarean delivery. Data were collected using a structured, self-administered online questionnaire that assessed demographic, obstetric, and knowledge-related factors. Results: Less than half of the

The main aim of this research has been associated with the study of relationship between competitive intelligence and strategic risk, and to deduct their specific trends, which are interpreted as predicted by research hypotheses according to a review of literature including prior studies. The basic theme of these hypotheses is related to the probability that declining levels of strategic risk and competitive positions of industrial companies is dependent upon the growing capacity to stay ahead of competitors in the market.

... Show MoreQuantitative real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) has become a valuable molecular technique in biomedical research. The selection of suitable endogenous reference genes is necessary for normalization of target gene expression in RT-qPCR experiments. The aim of this study was to determine the suitability of each 18S rRNA and ACTB as internal control genes for normalization of RT-qPCR data in some human cell lines transfected with small interfering RNA (siRNA). Four cancer cell lines including MCF-7, T47D, MDA-MB-231 and Hela cells along with HEK293 representing an embryonic cell line were depleted of E2F6 using siRNA specific for E2F6 compared to negative control cells, which were transfected with siRNA not specific for any gene. Azo compounds were prepared from the reaction of an ethanolic solution of sodium acetate and calculated amount of active methylene compound namely, acetyl acetone to obtain the corresponding hydrazono derivative (1). Cyclocondensation reaction of compounds (1) with hydrazine hydrate and phenyl hydrazine in boiling ethanol affording the corresponding pyrazoline-5-one derivatives of 4-aminobenzoic acid (2,3). Then compound (3) was reacted with thionyl chloride to give the corresponding acid chloride derivative(4), followed by conversion into the corresponding acid hydrazide derivative (5) carboxylic acid thiosemicarbazide (11), esters
