This study aimed to prepare a program (physical-nutritional) for women with polycystic ovary, as well as to identify the effect of this program on some body measurements and the incidence of polycystic ovarian syndrome in the research sample. A total of 12 women (aged 20-25 years) with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) participated in the randomized controlled trial design. They were divided equally into two groups (experimental and control group). The experimental group received the physical-nutritional program accompanying the treatment program, while the control group received only the instructions of the specialist doctor and the treatment program prepared by them. The two researchers applied their nutritional program over a period of two months and a day. As for the physical program, it was applied by 3 units per week, for a period of two months, which included a set of aerobic exercises. The assessments were done using the ultrasound assessment for radiographic examination and other body measurements such as BMI (Body Mass Index). The statistical analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. The results of the current study showed that there were statistically significant differences between pre and post-test results of the experimental and control group for the study variables, in favor of the post-test (p < 0.05). Statistically significant differences were also found between the post-test score averages of the experimental and the control group, in favor of the experimental group (p < 0.05). In conclusion, diet helps to improve the work of vital organizations by targeting insulin resistance to reduce it, as it is one of the indicators that works to increase polycystic ovaries. About sports activities, they contribute to the regulation of the hormonal system and in this way reduce the incidence of PCOS.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the main cause of female infertility. The role of insulin resistance in the development of polycystic ovary is actively discussed here. The study included patients with PCOS without insulin resistance (n = 48) and with insulin resistance (n = 39). The comparison groups were patients with no history of PCOS: a control group without insulin resistance (n = 46) and a group of patients with insulin resistance (n = 45). The following parameters were determined in patients: FSH, LH, TSH, T3f, T4f, PRL, E2, 17-OHd, Pr, AMH, Test total, Testf, DHEAS, DHEASs, SHBG, ACTH, cortisol, IRI, IGF-1, C-peptide, and glucose level. The HOMA-IR index and the LH / FSH ratio and t

However, induction of insulin resistance should also be studied in the modeling technics. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the expression of insulin receptor substrate (Irs)-2 mRNA in the liver tissue of rat PCO model. Nineteen Wistar rats were divided into three groups; (1) PCO modeling group (N =7) received daily 1.0 mg/100g testosterone enanthate solved in olive oil along with free access dextrose water 5%, (2) vehicle group (N =6), which handled like the PCO group, but did not receive testosterone enanthate, (3) control group (N =6) with standard care. Polycystic-ovary-syndrome (PCOS) has a high-predisposition to many cardiometabolic-risk factors that increase susceptibility to severe complications of COVID-19 and also exhibit an increased likelihood of subfertility. The study includes the extent of the effect of COVID-19-virus on renin-levels, glutathione-s-transferase-activity and other biochemical parameters in PCOS-women. The study included 120 samples of ladies that involved: 80 PCOS-patients, and 40 healthy-ladies. Both main groups were divided into subgroups based on COVID-19 infected or not. Blood-samples were collected from PCOS-patients in Kamal-Al-Samara Hospital, at the period between Decembe

Paraoxonase-1 (PON1) gene polymorphism, -108 C >T in the promoter region, have been identified as factors that influence both the stability of the enzyme and its active site. This, in turn, contributes to increase oxidative stress, a recognized risk factor associated with PCOS. This study aimed to investigate the connection between paraoxonase-1-108 C >T gen polymorphisms with PCOS in Iraqi women in a case-control study included 40 women with PCOS and 40 women with normal cycles and no symptoms of

This study aims to evaluate the association of obesity and PCOS by investigating several parameters including: anthropological, biochemical (lipid profile, fasting blood sugar, glucose tolerance test, and hormone levels (LH, FSH, LH/FSH ratio, Estradiol2 and Testosterone),and genetic parameters (Fat mass and Obesity associated gene (FTO) polymorphism at rs17817449) in 63 obese and non-obese PCOS women. The biochemical tests were investigated by colorimetric methods while FTO gene polymorphism was detected by PCR–RFLP. Lipid profile, F

Methodology: Between January 17 and October 30 of 2022, The Center of Gastrointestinal Medicine and Surgery at Al-Diwanyiah Teaching Hospital conducted "a quasi-experimental study". A non-probability sample of 30 patients for the case group and 30 patients for the control group was selected based on the study's criteria.
