Different solvents (light naphtha, n-heptane, and n-hexane) are used to treat Iraqi Atmospheric oil residue by the deasphalting process. Oil residue from Al-Dura refinery with specific gravity 0.9705, API 14.9, and 0.5 wt. % sulfur content was used. Deasphalting oil (DAO) was examined on a laboratory scale by using solvents with different operation conditions (temperature, concentration of solvent, solvent to oil ratio, and duration time). This study investigates the effects of these parameters on asphaltene yield. The results show that an increase in temperature for all solvents increases the extraction of asphaltene yield. The higher reduction in asphaltene content is obtained with hexane solvent at operating conditions of (90 °C, 4/1 solvent to oil ratio), where the asphaltene yield was 93%. The highest recorded value of API value at 150 ml for all solvents at the highest temperature and duration time; this value is 32 when using n-heptane solvent at 15/1.
Vitamins are a type of essential and important nutrient in the human body. It also plays an essential role in the health and protection of the human body. They share physiological functions with many chemicals, and their deficiency or increase endangers human health. Therefore, it is required to evolve and use modern methods to estimate the concentration of vitamins, even if their concentration is very low, and these include the vitamin E group tocopherols, tocotrienols, isomers, esters, and derivatives. They disagree not in their ability as anti-cancer agents but rather in their physiological as well as chemical relations, unlike vitamin A and vitamin D. The richest source of vitamin E is vegetable oil. Vitamin E, classified as a vitami

All 14 isolates were confirmed Streptomyces by 16S rRNA PCR amplification. Six isolates with high antimicrobial activities were ascertained Streptomyces spp. by sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. Two isolates among the selected 6 isolates with antimicrobial activity against E. coli and S. aureus . It recommended to make a complete sequence for 16S rRNA to detect the species that

Show MoreDiscrete Raman amplifier have many attractive aspects over rare-earth doped fiber amplifier such as (EDFA) including arbitrary gain band, better adjustability of gain shape, and better linearity. This paper shows that discrete Raman amplifier has higher gain in bidirectional pumping than counter pumping. The gain increases with increasing fiber length, and the noise figure remain at the same value for short fiber length.
The possible effects of COVID-19 vaccines on reproductive health and male fertility in particular have been discussed intensely by the scientific community and the public since their introduction during the pandemic. On news outlets and social media platforms, many claims have been raised regarding the deleterious effects of COVID-19 vaccines on sperm quality without scientific evidence. In response to this emerging conflict, we designed this study to evaluate and assess the effect of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA COVID-19 vaccine on male fertility represented by the semen analysis parameters.
In this paper different channel coding and interleaving schemes in DS/CDMA system over multipath fading channel were used. Two types of serially concatenated coding were presented. The first one composed of Reed-Solomon as outer code, convolutional code as inner code and the interleaver between the outer and inner codes and the second consist of convolutional code as outer code, interleaved in the middle and differential code as an inner code. Bit error rate performance of different schemes in multipath fading channel was analyzed and compared. Rack receiver was used in DS/CDMA receiver to combine multipath components in order to enhance the signal to noise ratio at the receiver.
A total of 172 clinical were obtained over 6 months. Klebsiella spp. was detected in 58 (33.7%) samples with a high percentage 29 (50%) in urine in female and low percentage 1(1.7%) in pus and burn swabs in male, and the vaginal swab was 1(1.7%). The female to male ratio was 3.1:1. PCR detection showed that 51(87.93%) out of 58 produce 108 bp. product with rpoB specific primer that represented K. pneumonia. Whereas 7(12.07%) showed PCR product with 343 bp by K. oxytoca specific primer (peh X), furthermore, the sequences of two selected isolates showed that the species related to K. oxytoca strain CAV1335, and to K. oxytoca strain CAV1374. Five selected isolates were re-tested by the gyr A primer, all were showed specific band product wit

Studies on plaque control strategies in orthodontic populations are limited. This might be caused by difficulties in the quantitative evaluation of dental plaque because the teeth have various levels of bracket coverage, and different tooth sizes and malocclusions, making the traditional categorical indices complex. The present study aims to evaluate the effect of different hygiene protocols on plaque quantity on bands with different attachments. Materials and method: Twenty patients had four bands within the orthodontic appliance. Then randomly divided into

They are classified depending on the severity of their wear to three groups: new, worn and damaged nozzles. Those nozzles were spraying with the same application rate (303 l/ha) on two-year field trials; this was achieved by changing the spraying pressure for each group of nozzles in order to get the same application rate. This practice is usually done by operators of sprayers, who calibrate the sprayers on the same application rate every year without changing the nozzles, so they tend to reduce the spraying pressure in order to compensate the flow rate increase due to the nozzles yearly wear. Two types of
Background: The demand for better esthetic during orthodontic treatment has increased nowadays, so orthodontists starting using esthetic arch wires, brackets and ligatures.Tooth colored brackets were introduced in different types of materials. Sapphire ceramic brackets are one type of esthetic brackets and their color stability remains the main concern for the clinicians and patients at the same time. The present study design to evaluate the effect of three different staining materials (pepsi, black tea and cigarette smoke) on the stainability of sapphire ceramic brackets bonded with three types of light cure orthodontic adhesives which include: Resilience, Enlight and Transbond.
