The paper deals with a study of peculiarities of gluttonic text structures in the Arabic-Russian language pair at the sociolinguistic, system structural, functional-stylistic and lexico-semantic aspects from the standpoint of view at functional approach to the phenomena of language systems and the gluttonic discourse as a special type of ver bal and social discourse. Profound attention is paid to the consideration of lexical and grammatical means of explication of glutton discourse on the examples of identi cal Arabic and Russian literary texts as well as language situations in Arab countries and Russia, features of which are due to the characteristics of gluttonic discourses that reflect the features of the two different ethnolingual cultures, the differences of which create difficulties for intercultural communication and the translation process.

Laboratory studies were conducted at the biological control unit, college of Agriculture, University of Baghdad to evaluate some biological aspects of the predator Chilocorus bipustulatus (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), which is considered one of the most important predators on many insect pests, especially the scale insect, Parlatoria blanchardi, (Homoptera: Diaspididae) on date palms. The results showed that biological parameters of the predator were varied according to different degree of temperature. Different values for the energies result for the different bonds, depending on the location of the bond and the structure of the corresponding transition states. The C-C bond cleavage reactions include H atom migration, in many cases, leading to the formation of CH2 groups and H-C≡C- acetylenic fragments. The activation energy values of the C-C reactions are greater than 190.00 kcal/mol for all bonds, those for the C-H bonds are greater than 160.00 kcal/mol.
