This paper analyzes the effect of scaling-up model and acceleration history on seismic response of closed-ended pipe pile using a finite element modeling approach and the findings of 1 g shaking table tests of a pile embedded in dry and saturated soils. A number of scaling laws were used to create the numerical modeling according to the data obtained from 1 g shake table tests performed in the laboratory. The current study found that the behaviors of the scaled models, in general have similar trends. From numerical modeling on both the dry and saturated sands, the normalized lateral displacement, bending moment, and vertical displacement of piles with scale factors of 2 and 35 are less than those of the pile with a scale factor of 1 and the shaking table test. In general, the pile deformation factor was higher in saturated sand models than the dry sand models. Liquefaction ratios were increased by increasing the seismic intensity; hence the maximum liquefaction ratio was observed with the model of scale 1 under the effect of the Kobe earthquake (0.82 g). In another full-scale model, the liquefaction ratio decreased significantly; i.e., it was decreased from 1.64% (λ = 1) to 1.04% (λ = 35) in the same mentioned model. Pile frictional resistance was numerically investigated and the overall results were compared with previous studies in the literature. In general, the frictional resistance at the pile tip was slightly higher than the frictional resistance around the pile body, and the frictional resistance factor on the ground surface of dry soil models was slightly higher than those of saturated soil models.
The importance of the current study lies in the importance of the Tax policy that being considered one of the most important tools working on fulfilling the social, financial and economic goals and improving the investment environment in the country to become having the ability to activate the national economy. The current study has referred that ( Has the tax planning practiced by the Iraqi contribution companies led to increase the far-term tax outcome through getting benefit of the monetary funds and expansion in&nbs
... Show MoreThe world is keeping pace with evolution in all its fields as a result of scientists' pursuit of continuous scientific and technological development. This evolution included the sports field, which had a large space in the aspect of development and for all disciplines, Therefore, it's reflected today in what we see of records and advanced achievements in sporting events and activities. The development in the field of sports was the result of scientific research (Hussein and Jawad., 2022), where the interest in the training process has become one of the most important pillars of the development of achievement (Neamah and Altay., 2020). The shooting sport has also witnessed a remarkable development due to the diversity and development of its

To achieve the goal of this research, the following null hypothesis was formulated. There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students, who study history according to the PDEODE strategy, and the average scores of the control group students who study the same module in the traditional way of the historical concepts acquisition test. The researcher chose the experimental method for the current research and adopted the experimental design of partial control with a post-test, which depends on the

Existence of these soils, sometimes with high gypsum content, caused difficult problems to the buildings and strategic projects due to dissolution and leaching of gypsum by the action of waterflow through soil mass. In this research, a new technique is adopted to investigate the performance of replacement and geosynthetic reinforcement materials to improve the gypseous soil behavior through experimential set up manufactured loaclally specially for this work. A series of tests were carried out using steel container (600*600*500) mm. A square footing (100*100) mm was placed at the center of the top surface of the bed soil. The results showed that the most effective thickness for the dune sand layer with geotextile at the interface, within

estimating the displacements and stresses under the strip footing during applied incremental loading
sequences. This paper presents a two-dimensional finite element method. In this method, the soil is divided into a number of triangle elements. A model soil (Gibson-type) with linearly increasing modulus of elasticity with depth is presented. The influences of modulus of elasticity, incremental loading, width of footing, and depth of footing are considered in this paper. The results are compared with authors' conclusions of previous studies.
In this paper, a least squares group finite element method for solving coupled Burgers' problem in 2-D is presented. A fully discrete formulation of least squares finite element method is analyzed, the backward-Euler scheme for the time variable is considered, the discretization with respect to space variable is applied as biquadratic quadrangular elements with nine nodes for each element. The continuity, ellipticity, stability condition and error estimate of least squares group finite element method are proved. The theoretical results show that the error estimate of this method is . The numerical results are compared with the exact solution and other available literature when the convection-dominated case to illustrate the effic

This paper involves exploring the dynamics of four species' interactions. The system includes two competitive prey and two predators; the first prey is preyed on by the first predator, with the former representing an additional food source for the latter. While the second prey is not exposed to predation but rather is exposed to the harvest. The existence of possible equilibria is found. Conditions of local and global stability for the equilibria are derived. To corroborate our findings, we constructed time series to illustrate the existence and the stability of equilibria numerically by varying the different values
... Show More The research addresses the most important elements of the ancient Iraqi heritage represented by architecture and plastic arts being the direct means that preserved the heritage due to the ease of preserving them and the speed of circulating them and diversity of their topics. Through the features of these elements, the research problem has been defined in the form of questions including: what are the most important elements of the ancient Iraqi heritage? What are the plastic arts? What are the most important topics adopted? What is the concept of palm in the ancient Iraqi heritage? What is the evidence for that?
Has it been employed in the Iraqi contemporary art? What is the evidence for that? How to employ it in the arts and t
