Adaptive Modeling of Urban Dynamics With Mobile Phone Database
...Show More Authors

The communication networks (mobile phone networks, social media platforms) produce digital traces from their usages. This type of information help to understand and analyze the human mobility in very accurate way. By these analyzes over cities, it can give powerful data on daily citizen activities, urban planners have in that way, relevant indications for decision making on design and development. As well as, the Call detail Records (CDRs) provides valuable spatiotemporal data at the level of citywide or even nationwide. The CDRs could be analyzed to extract the life patterns and individuals mobility in an observed urban area and during ephemeral events. Whereas, their analysis gives conceptual views about human density and mobility patterns. In this study, the mobile phone traces concern an ephemeral event called Armada in Rouen city. However, important densities of individuals are analyzed and are represented to extract the life patterns by classifying the most active regions during observed period in this urban area. Then, the collective mobility patterns are investigated in aggregated urban mobility patterns via extracting the universal mobility law (power-law distribution). This investigation explores the characteristics of human mobility patterns, and model them mathematically depending on substantial parameters, that are the inter-event time, traveled distances (displacements), and the radius of gyration. The main purpose of this study is to determine the general pattern law of the population. And, its contribution is the resulting outcomes, which are revealed and visualized in both static and dynamic perspectives. They can be capitalized as guidelines to explore the urban pulse and life patterns. The numerical simulation results endorse the previous investigations. Hence, they found that the real system patterns almost follow an exponential distribution. Additionally, the experiments classified the mobility patterns into major classes as general, work, and off days. Keywords : Complex systems, urban, mobility, CDRs, mobile phone, spatio-temporal, network, radius of gyration, individual trajectory, city pulse, simulation, power-law distribution.

Multidimensional Systolic Arrays of LMS Algorithm Adaptive (FIR) Digital Filters
...Show More Authors

A multidimensional systolic arrays realization of LMS algorithm by a method of mapping regular algorithm onto processor array, are designed. They are based on appropriately selected 1-D systolic array filter that depends on the inner product sum systolic implementation. Various arrays may be derived that exhibit a regular arrangement of the cells (processors) and local interconnection pattern, which are important for VLSI implementation. It reduces latency time and increases the throughput rate in comparison to classical 1-D systolic arrays. The 3-D multilayered array consists of 2-D layers, which are connected with each other only by edges. Such arrays for LMS-based adaptive (FIR) filter may be opposed the fundamental requirements of fa

Design of L1 -Adaptive Controller for Single Axis Positioning Table
...Show More Authors

L1 adaptive controller has proven to provide fast adaptation with guaranteed transients in a large variety of systems. It is commonly used for controlling systems with uncertain time-varying unknown parameters. The effectiveness of  L1 adaptive controller for position control of single axis has been examined and compared with Model Reference Adaptive Controller (MRAC). The Linear servo motor is one of the main constituting elements of the x-y table which is mostly used in automation application. It is characterized by time-varying friction and disturbance.

The tracking and steady state performances of both controllers have been assessed fo

Modeling and Analysis of A Prey-Predator System Incorporating Fear, Predator-Dependent Refuge, with Cannibalism In Prey
...Show More Authors

The relationship between prey and predator populations is hypothesized and examined using a mathematical model. Predation fear, cannibalism among the prey population, and a refuge reliant on predators are predicted to occur. This study set out to look at the long-term behavior of the proposed model and the effects of its key elements. The solution properties of the model were investigated. All potential equilibrium points' existence and stability were looked at. The system's persistence requirements were established. What circumstances could lead to local bifurcation near equilibrium points was uncovered. Suitable Lyapunov functions are used to study the system's overall dynamics. Numerical simulations were conducted to verify the

The Dynamics of the Aquatic Food Chain System in the Contaminated Environment
...Show More Authors

In this paper, the aquatic food chain model, consisting of Phytoplankton, Zooplankton, and Fish, in the contaminated environment is proposed and studied. Modified Leslie–Gower model with Holling type IV functional response are used to describe the growth of Fish and the food transition throughout the food chain, respectively. The toxic substance affects directly the Phytoplankton and indirectly the other species. The local stability analysis of all possible equilibrium points is done. The persistence conditions of the model are established. The basin of attraction for each point is specified using the Lyapunov function. Bifurcation analysis near the coexistence equilibrium point is investigated. Detecting the existence of chao

The Dynamics of Sokol-Howell Prey-Predator Model Involving Strong Allee Effect
...Show More Authors

In this paper,  a Sokol-Howell prey-predator model involving strong Allee effect is proposed and analyzed. The existence, uniqueness, and boundedness are studied. All the five possible equilibria have been are obtained and their local stability conditions are established. Using Sotomayor's theorem, the conditions of local saddle-node and transcritical and pitchfork bifurcation are derived and drawn. Numerical simulations are performed to clarify the analytical results

Kinetic Modeling of Electromembrane Extraction of Copper using a Novel Electrolytic Cell Provided with a Supported Liquid Membrane
...Show More Authors

The aim of this study is to investigate the kinetics of copper removal from aqueous solutions using an electromembrane extraction (EME) system. To achieve this, a unique electrochemical cell design was adopted comprising two glass chambers, a supported liquid membrane (SLM), a graphite anode, and a stainless-steel cathode. The SLM consisted of a polypropylene flat membrane infused with 1-octanol as a solvent and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (DEHP) as a carrier. The impact of various factors on the kinetics constant rate was outlined, including the applied voltage, initial pH of the donor phase solution, and initial copper concentration. The results demonstrated a significant influence of the applied voltage on enhancing the rate of c

Many urban and rural areas fall under the impact of disasters, whether natural or industrial, and with increasing complexity in urban areas, with diversity of economic, social and political components, and technological and cognitive development, the effects of disasters and wars have increased with the time, where disasters are affecting all aspects of life, causing great waste of property and lives, also displacement of populations and disruption of economic life, these effects are multiplied if they are not dealt with in sound curricula and scientific strategies.

The research aims to identify the experiences of some countries and their strategies and effective programs in reconstruction after exposure to disasters and wars wit
