Synthesis and Characterization of Some O-[2-{''2-Substituted Aryl (''1,''3,''4 thiadiazolyl) ['3,'4-b]-'1,'2,'4- Triazolyl]-Ethyl]-p- chlorobenzald oxime Derivatives

In this study new derivatives of O-[2-{''2-Substituted Aryl (''1,''3,''4 thiadiazolyl) ['3,'4-b]-'1,'2,'4- Triazolyl]-Ethyl]-p- chlorobenzald oxime (6-11)have been synthesized from the starting material p-chloro – E- benzaldoxime 1.Compound 2 was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloro – E- benzaldoxime with ethyl acrylate in basic medium. Refluxing compound 2 with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol absolute afforded 3. Derivative 4 was prepared by the reaction of 3 with carbon disulphide, treated of compound 4 with hydrazine hydrate gave 5. The derivatives (6-11) were prepared by the reaction of 5 with different substitutesof aromatic acids. The structures of these compounds were characterized from their melting points, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and 1HNMR (some of them). Compounds (6-11) were exhibited biological activity against E- coli bacteria. Compound 9 exhibited higher degree of activity than the other.

Design Investigation of 4 × 4 Nonblocking Hybrid Plasmonic Electrooptic Switch

This paper proposes a compact, plasmonic-based 4 × 4 nonblocking switch for optical networks. This device uses six 2 × 2 plasmonic Mach-Zehnder switch (MZS), whose arm waveguide is supported by a JRD1 polymer layer as a high electro-optic coefficient material. The 4 × 4 switch is designed in COMSOL environment for 1550 nm wavelength operation. The performance of the proposed switch outperforms those of conventional (nonplasmonic) counterparts. The designed switch yields a compact structure ( 500 × 70   µ m 2 ) having V π L = 12   V · µ m , 1.5 THz optical bandwidth, 7.7 dB insertion loss, and −26.5 dB crosstalk. The capability of the switch to route 8 × 40 Gbps WDM signal is demonstrated successfully.

     The research aimed to study the vaccination efficiency against the emerging virus SARS-CoV-2, which includes Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines that  are  used exclusively in Iraq, by measuring the level of immune cells CD4+ as well as vitamin D3 using ELISA technology. Taking  serums  were taken from vaccinated individuals: 20 uninfected before individuals who got a vaccination and 20 people with prior infections who had the vaccine (for each type of the three vaccines). Samples were collected 21 days following the second dose as well as 3 to 6 months thereafter. Synthesis of new heterocyclic derivatives from 2-furyl methanethiol and study their applications

In this research, cyclic compounds derived from 2- furfural mercaptan (oxazole, triazoles) were synthesized, and their biological efficacy was measured and compared with standard drugs. Also, their effectiveness as anti-oxidant was measured and compared with ascorbic acid as a standard substance.
