Corrosion resistance of metals is one of the most important topics for researchers. In this work, epoxy-TiO2 nanocomposite has been developed for protection of 6061AL alloy. The dip-coating technique used to deposit the coating on 6061 Al alloy substrate. Different concentrations of TiO2 NPs (1,3,5 )Wt% have been used to study the corrosion behavior in 3.5% NaCl medium. Also, 200,150 and 100 mm/min dipping speeds have been employed for 1%wt TiO2 to show their effects on coating layer and corrosion rate. Characterization of coated surfaces were investigated by AFM, FESEM andEDS,while theelectrochemical measurementswas using to evaluate protective nature of the coating. The results have shown that the corrosion rate has decreased with 1wt% of TiO2 NPs concentration. The corrosion rate (mm/y) of (7.131×10-4, 1.803×10-3 and 8.183×10-3) have been obtained with (1 , 3 and 5 wt% TiO2) respectively. The results have been confirmed by using a constant dip-coating speed of 200 mm/min, and the results of the corrosion rate for 200,150 and 100 mm/min have been 7.131×10-4, 7.984×10-4and 8.293×10-4 respectively. The morphology of coating film which characterized by SEM, have shown that the TiO2 NPs spread and was covered by epoxy very well. The AFM test used to study the surface average roughness of coating film where the Ra for sample with epoxy coating is24.4 nm and for sample with (epoxy _1%wt TiO2) is 1.508 nm.
A new class of biologically active nanocomposites and modified polymers based on poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) with some organic compounds [II, IV, V and VI] were synthesized using silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). All compounds were synthesized using nucleophilic substitution interactions and characterized by FTIR, DSC and TGA. The biological activity of the modified polymers was evaluated against: gram (+) (staphylococcus aureus) and gram (-): (Es cherichia coli bacteria). Antimicrobial films are developed based on modified poly (vinyl alcohol) MPVA and Ag-NPs nanoparticles. The nanocomposites and modified polymers showed better antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli (Gram negative) than against Staphyloc
... Show MoreThis study was conducted in order to statement the effect of ginger (Zingiber officinale) extracts in reducing the presence of the bacterium Salmonella typhimurium in some foods products.
Qualitative disclosures effective chemical compounds (alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, tannins, terpenes) showed that the extracts of ginger an effective compounds as follows: oil extract and fresh juice> aqueous extract warm> aqueous extract cold. And studied the impact extract of fresh ginger juice, hot water ,cold water and oil rates extracts (1,2,3)% in bacteria test has shown that all s of extracts clear impact inhibition has oily extract of ginger recorded the highest value to inhibition zone reaching 35 mm when the concentration of 3%, f
Abstract
The study aims to find out the impact of expectations and perceptions in determining the position of the customer service quality received by him. Represent the expectations and perceptions customer’s key of service quality determinants. The customer's requirements and needs main pivot, who must be built all events and activities and efforts of service organizations, including the hotel and organizations that operate in an environment known as highly competitive , intensification and complexity of the conditions set by the customer and increasing day after day. The study sample of three Luxury hotels in Kurdistan region of Iraq a model. The use of service quality m

Researchers used internal growth rate as independent variable (Proxy of asset utilization efficiency) and sustainable growth rate-dependent variable (proxy of stockholders wealth). According to these two variables, researchers formulate major hypotheses (There is no significant effect of internal growth rate on sustainable growth rate), as well as two sub-hypotheses, examine the components of major variables. Sample of Iraqi industrial companies which listed in the Iraqi stock exchange selected to test and examine main hypotheses. Result of simple and multiple regressions explain there is a significant effect of i
