The current study aimed to isolate and diagnose Candida spp yeasts that cause candidiasis with a PCR device from patients reviewed for some hospitals in Baghdad city and by 190 samples, the study recorded 123 isolates and the total percentage of infection was 64.7% .Samples were taken from different clinical cases of the vagina, blood and mouth and the Candida spp were (70.37%, 41.26%, 86.95%) respectively. Five types of yeasts were isolated and diagnosed, namely C. albicans, C. tropicalis, C. parapsilosis, C. krusei and C.glabarta. They were confirmed by PCR device and the most notable were yeast C. albicans, where 91 isolates were found, 73.98%, while the lowest infection was recorded. C.glabartawith 3 isolates, at 2.43%, significant differences at P 0.001.The C. albicans showed the ability to form a Grem tube and Chlamydospore formation. Cultivation on the differential medium, chromo agar, showed that the yeast of C. albicans in a light green color, C.tropicalis in a metallic blue and C.parapsilosis in a creamy white color as the C .krusei was light pink in color, while C.glabrata was pinkish-purple in color. Isolation and diagnosis of these species have been confirmed by the Vitek2 Compact System. Four types of antifungal agents, Nystatin, Amphotericin, Clotrimazole and Ketoconazole, were used, The results showed a different effect of antifungals on Candida spp. The results of the PCR using the fungi starter pair (ITS1, ITS4) showed that they produced different molecular sizes ranging from (510-870) bp where the type of C. albicans was 535 bp and C. krusie was bp 510 and C.tropicalis was bp 524 and C. parapsilosis was bp520 and C.glabrata were bp 870
Yeast strain S9, which produced a high amount of biosurfactant, was isolated from pickledolive and identified as a strain of Candida guilliermondii using VITTEK 2 compact system, this strain was selected out of 13bioemulsifier producing strains. The effects of some environmental and nutritional factors on biosurfactant production were evaluated, the maximum value of E24% was observed at pH 4 which was 70% and the optimal temperature for biosurfactant production was 30 °C, E24% was 75%. This work contain many steps starting from esterification of isophthalic acid to yield diester compound [I] which was converted to their acid hydrazide [II], then the later compound reacted with ethylacetoacetate to yield pyrazol-5-one compound [III]. Afterword added acetyl chloride to give the compound [IV], thereaction of this compound with theiosemicarbazide ledto produce a new carbothioamide compound [V], Which was reacted with ethyl chloro acetate to yield thethioxoimidazolidin compound [VI]. The condensation reaction of this compound with different substituted aldehyde give new alkene derivatives[VII]a-d. The synthesized compounds were characterized by melting points , FT-IR ,1H-NMR and Mass spectroscopy .

A number of juices, jams, canned foods and frozen fishes available in local markets were inspected with respect to microbial contamination. We have determined the total viable bacterial cell counts in these samples and the number of g(-) lactose fermentors as a bacterial indicator of food spoilage. The results indicated that most of the food items inspected, were contaminated with large numbers of different species of g(-) ,g(+), yeast and fungi and some were contained more than the maximum permissible number of pathogenic g(-) enteric E-coli, which render these food items unsafe for human consumption.
In this paper the new starting material 2-(5-chloro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2-yl) aniline (1) was synthesized by the condensation reaction of 4-chloro-o-phenylenediamine and anthranilic acid .The new Mannich base derivatives were synthesized using formaldehyde and different secondary amines to synthesize a new set of benzimidazole derivatives(2-5). Also, the new Schiff-base derivatives (6-10) were synthesized from the reaction of compound (1) with various aromatic aldehydes and the closure-ring was done successfully using mercapto acetic acid to get the new thiazolidine derivatives(11-12).These new compounds were characterized using some physical techniques like:FT-IR Spectra and 1HNMR Spectra.
