.Curcumin (Cur) and L phenylalanine (Phy) compounds were used to prepare two mixed ligand complexes with Cr (III) and Fe (III) ions. The synthesized complexes are characterized by using conductivity measurement and different spectral methods like FT-IR and UV- Vis .Molar conductance and analytical studies confirmed that the complexes exhibit octahedral geometry., suggest that the complexes are formed in 1: 1 :2 [ L : Metal : 2phe ] ratio and they proposed to have the general formulae [M(Cur)(phe)2] Cl (M= Cr (III) and Fe (III) The compound dyeing method was studied and applied to acrylic fabric. The antibacterial activity of curcumin, phenylalanine and their mixed ligand complexes were examined on pathogenic bacterial strains and showed good results
The purpose of my thesis is to prepare four new ligands (L1-L4) that have been used to prepare a series of metal complexes by reacting them with metal ions: M=(Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) Where succinyl chloride was used as a raw material for the preparation of bi-dented ligands (L1-L4) by reacting it with potassium thiocyanate as a first step and then reacting with (2-aminobenzothiazole, Benzylamine, 4-aminoantipyrine, Sulfamethoxazole) respectively as a second step with the use of dry acetone as a solvent, the chemical formula of the four ligands prepared in succession: N1,N4-bis(benzo[d]thiazol-2-ylcarbamothioyl)succinamide (L1) N1,N4-bis(benzylcarbamothioyl)succinami
... Show MoreThe polymeric complexes were obtained from the reaction of polymeric Schiff base.N-crotonyl-2-hydroxyphenylazomethine (HL), with divalent metals Pt (II), Cr (II). The modes of bonding and overall geometry of the complexes were determine through spectroscopic methods and compared with that reported from analogous monomeric ligand. This study revealed square planer geometry around the metal center for [Pt(L)Cl] and distorted octahedral geometry for Cr complex [Cr(L)Cl(H2O)2].
In this study, Yogurt was dried and milled, then shaked with distilled water to remove the soluble materials, then again dried and milled. Batch experiments were carried out to remove hexavalent chromium from aqueous solutions. Different parameters were optimized such as amount of adsorbent, treatment time, pH and concentration of adsorbate. The concentrations of Cr6+ in solutions are determined by UV-Visible spectrophotometer. Maximum percentage removal of Cr6+ was 82% at pH 2. Two equilibrium adsorption isotherms mechanisms are tested Langmuir and Freundlich, the results showed that the isotherm obeyed to Freundlich isotherm. Kinetic models were applied to the adsorption of Cr6+ ions on the adsorbents, ps
... Show MoreIn this work a series of fourteen new compounds were synthesized. Compound [1] was formed from the reaction of 2-aminobenzothiazole and p-bromophenacyl bromide. Aldehyde group [2] was obtained from the reaction of compound [1] with pocl3 in presence of DMF and CHCl3 .After that shiff bases have been synthesized from the reaction of compound [2] with different aromatic amine to give new shiff bases [3- 5]. These new shiff bases have been reduced to their corresponding amine [6-8] by means of sodium borohydride. Then reaction of shiff bases [3-5] with phenyl isocyanate gives 3-cyclic lactam derivatives [9-11]. 3-cyclic Oxazepine derivatives [12-14] were obtained by reaction of shiff bases [3-5] with succinic anhydride. These new formed co
