      A model using the artificial neural networks and genetic algorithm technique is developed for obtaining optimum dimensions of the foundation length and protections of small hydraulic structures. A lockbolt demountable shear connector (LB-DSC), including a grout-filled steel tube embedded in the concrete slab and fastened to a geometrically compatible partial-thread bolt, which is bolted on the steel section's top flange of a composite beam, was proposed. In the present study, synthesis of bis Schiff base [I, II] by reaction of one mole of terephthalaldehyde with two mole of 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole or 4-amino benzene thiol in the ethanol absolute, then compounds [I,II]  were reacted with Na₂CO₃ of distilled H₂O, then chloroacetic acid was added to yield compounds [III,IV].
