Maxwellian-Averaged Neutron Capture Cross-Sections and Thermonuclear Reaction Rates for 56,57,58Fe, 59Co, And 60Ni Isotopes at Astrophysical Energies
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Initially-produced isotopes during the course of the s-process have a significant impact on the continuity and branching network of this process. Such isotopes can undergo various neutron capture mechanisms, of which (n, γ) is important. In this research, the direct, thermal, and Maxwellian-averaged cross section (MACS), as well as the astrophysical reaction rates of the radiative neutron-capture reactions, were calculated for 56,57,58Fe, 59Co, and 60Ni isotopes. At kinetic energies between kT = 0.037 and 482.3 keV, corresponding to astrophysical temperature in the range of 0.01 to 1GK. E1 transitions of s-wave were considered with the approximations of direct non-resonant components. The obtained MACSs and hence reaction rates were based on the data from the major measured and evaluated nuclear libraries and tables and they showed very well agreements with the most recommended database and compilations. Moreover, the effect of the direct, thermal, and negative resonance cross sections on the MACS was found to be very small and exhibit a 1/v behavior overall temperatures, with a maximum at T = 0.01GK, while the main contribution attributed to the positive resonance term, that found to dominate overall temperature range.</p>

The Role of Cost and Quality of Documentary Credit in achieving the Competitive Advantage in Banks: An Applied Research in North Bank for Finance and Investment and The United Bank for Investment
...Show More Authors

Documentary Credit passes through many practical phases starting from Opening credit and matching documents and payment of the amount of credit……etc.  It is worthy to mention that there are several aspects that are varied and differed from Bank to another one which can offer Competitive Advantage for the bank …This will be shown in this research.

For the purpose of achieving the objective of this research within the theoretical aspect, the researcher had seen and briefed several books and researches which are mainly related to the subject of the research.

As for the practical aspect, has included Questionnaire which included many questions that are fit and suitable to the hypotheses.

Environmental Study of Some Water Characteristics at Um-Al-Naaj Marsh, South of Iraq.
...Show More Authors

Um-Al-Naaj region in Al-Hawiezah Marsh, Southern Iraq was chosen to study the environmental variations of some water characteristics during 2008, seasonally. The results showed clear seasonal changes in values of some environmental variables (temperature, depth, light penetration, turbidity, total suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, reactive phosphate, reactive nitrite, and reactive nitrate), while there were no clear seasonal changes in electrical conductivity and salinity values. In addition, high nutrients concentrations and light penetration were noted. Statistical analysis showed significant positive relationship between air and water temperature; electrical conductivity and salinity. Water turbidity was significantly affecte

Objective(s): Assess the effectiveness of osteoporosis prevention instruction program on nursing college students’
knowledge at Baghdad University.
Methodology: A quasi-experimental design was used to assess the effectiveness of osteoporosis prevention
instruction program on nursing college students at University of Baghdad from April 2011 to September 2011. A
random sample consisted of (40) females students from first year of Nursing College \ Baghdad University. The data
was collected by using constructed questionnaire, which consists of three parts. Part one: consists of demographic
information and health characteristics .Part two: consists of students’ daily life behaviors which include, dietary

An overview of neuro-ophthalmic disorders at Jenna Ophthalmic Center, Baghdad, Iraq (2021-2022)
...Show More Authors

Neuro-ophthalmic disorders are often documented individually for each illness, with little data available on their overall incidence and pattern. The overall incidence of neuro-ophthalmic illnesses in Iraq is still not recorded. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical, demographic, and etiological features of patients seeking consultation at an Iraqi neuro-ophthalmology clinic. A prospective cross-sectional observational research was conducted at the Janna Ophthalmic Center in Baghdad, Iraq. The center serves a diverse patient population from various governorates. All newly diagnosed patients with neuro-ophthalmic disorders who visited the neuro-ophthalmological clinic, regardless of gender or age group, were included. The neuro-ophthalmo

Assessment of Ambient Air Quality in Neonatal Incubators at Selected Sites of Baghdad Hospitals
...Show More Authors

An infant incubator in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is a medical instrument of care that provides oxygen, warmth and moisture to a newborn baby. Due to environmental conditions affecting the infants foster babies may experience discomfort and pain at some point. Thus, this study aimed to assess ambient air quality in neonatal incubators to improve the environmental quality of neonatal intensive care units and safety. Air pollutants concentrations consisting of particulate matter (pm2.5, pm10), hydrocarbons (HOCH), volatile organic compounds (VOC), air quality index (AQI), humidity and temperature, were measured at four selected Baghdad hospitals (Al-Karkh and Rusafa) . The results showed that the increase in rela

The impact of complexity management on dynamic capabilities: a survey at some private colleges
...Show More Authors

This research aims to understand complexity management and its impact on the use of the dynamic capabilities of a sample of private colleges.  Private colleges are currently facing many crises, changes, unrest and high competitive pressures.  Which is sometimes difficult or even impossible to predict.  The recruitment of dynamic capabilities is also one of the challenges facing senior management at private colleges to help them survive and survive.  Thus, the problem of research was (there is a clear insufficiency of interest in Complexity Management and trying to employ it in improving the dynamic capabilities of Colleges that have been discussed?). A group of private colleges was selected as a

The gamma dose rates and specific activity of 137Cs, 60Co and 40K in
samples of soil taken from places near the landfill radiation at Al-
Tuwaitha site were measured using a portable NaI(Tl) detector. The
results of gamma dose rates in samples were ranged from 52.6
nGy.h-1 to 131nGy.h-1. Then the specific activity of 137Cs, 60Co and
40K in soil were determined using high pure germanium (HPGe)
detector. The specific activities were varied from 1.9 to 115500 Bq.
kg-1 for 137Cs, from 6.37 to 616.5 Bq. kg-1 for 60Co, and from 3 to
839.5 Bq. kg-1 for 40K. The corresponding health risk for the annual
effective dose equivalent varied from 1.85×10-14 to 15.7mSv/y. The
results were compared with various internationa
