Semantic Analysis of Proverbs: A Conversation Analysis

Proverbs are considered as a major source of ancient events and happenings. Similar to other past events related to life, proverbs have many important and famous values in people's life. This study will shed lights on the use of proverbs as short sentences based on long experiences. The aim of the study is to explicate the roles, and the importance of proverbs in our life and how they are used to convey thoughts to people throughout simple words with denotation. Thus, proverbs explicate the truth and experience of our grandfathers when directed for criticism. Few proverbs were used by writers to criticize, mimic and reprint their personalities. Hence, proverbs will achieve portions of the unique roles of understanding. The model to be used accordingly is an eclectic model by Leech (1974), Odebunmi, (2002) and Udofot (1999). The results of the analysis have shown different scores of occurrence of semantic meanings as the following: Denotative meaning as 100%, Connotative meaning as 100%, Thematic meaning as 100%, Affective meaning as 92.307%, Stylistic meaning as 92.307%, Collocative meaning as 76.923%, Reflexive meaning as 30.77%. Referential theory as 92.307% ,and Image theory as 92.307%. Proverbs have been and keep highly and essential tools for the illustration of culture, social morality, manners and behaviors of insisters from one era to another. Proverbs may work as impersonal tool for personal interrogation. Parents can use proverbs to control their sons' behavior or ways of thinking.

Thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of Basic green-4 dye Removal from aqueous solutions using adsorption technique

In this work, a local sunflower husk (SFH) was used as a natural surface for removing Basic Green-4 (BG4) dye, as a watersoluble pollutant. The effect of initial concentration, contact time, the mass of surface of the dye with the SFH as well as the medium temperature was studied. The application of Langmuir, Freundlich isotherms on the collected data of the adsorption process found to harmonize to Freundlich equation more than that of Langmuir. However, the adsorbed mass of BG4 dye showed a direct increase with the increase of SFH mass and equilibrium was achieved within a 60min window. The present study includes three boreholes (Ba-1, 4 and 8) within the Balad Oil Field. The study area is located in central Iraq. The correction of the line profiles for x-ray diffraction peaks by using three analysis methods

In this study used three methods such as Williamson-hall, size-strain Plot, and Halder-Wagner to analysis x-ray diffraction lines to determine the crystallite size and the lattice strain of the nickel oxide nanoparticles and then compare the results of these methods with two other methods. The results were calculated for each of these methods to the crystallite size are (0.42554) nm, (1.04462) nm, and (3.60880) nm, and lattice strain are (0.56603), (1.11978), and (0.64606) respectively were compared with the result of Scherrer method (0.29598) nm,(0.34245),and the Modified Scherrer (0.97497). The difference in calculated results Observed for each of these methods in this study.
