Over the past few years, ear biometrics has attracted a lot of attention. It is a trusted biometric for the identification and recognition of humans due to its consistent shape and rich texture variation. The ear presents an attractive solution since it is visible, ear images are easily captured, and the ear structure remains relatively stable over time. In this paper, a comprehensive review of prior research was conducted to establish the efficacy of utilizing ear features for individual identification through the employment of both manually-crafted features and deep-learning approaches. The objective of this model is to present the accuracy rate of person identification systems based on either manually-crafted features such as DCT, DWT, DFT, PCA, LBP, SURF, SIFT, etc., or deep learning techniques such as CNN, DNN, Alex Net CNN, VGG-16, SVM, Squeeze Net, Google Net, MobileNetV2, etc. The effort will make it easier for researchers, especially those who are new to the field, to have a brief understanding of the trend of employing deep learning in a trustworthy biometric for the identification and recognition of human identification.
This article studies a comprehensive methods of edge detection and algorithms in digital images which is reflected a basic process in the field of image processing and analysis. The purpose of edge detection technique is discovering the borders that distinct diverse areas of an image, which donates to refining the understanding of the image contents and extracting structural information. The article starts by clarifying the idea of an edge and its importance in image analysis and studying the most noticeable edge detection methods utilized in this field, (e.g. Sobel, Prewitt, and Canny filters), besides other schemes based on distinguishing unexpected modifications in light intensity and color gradation. The research as well discuss

Epithelial and stromal communications are essential for normal uterine functions and their dysregulation contributes to the pathogenesis of many diseases including infertility, endometriosis, and cancer. Although many studies have highlighted the advantages of culturing cells in 3D compared to the conventional 2D culture system, one of the major limitations of these systems is the lack of incorporation of cells from non‐epithelial lineages. In an effort to develop a culture system incorporating both stromal and epithelial cells, 3D endometrial cancer spheroids are developed by co‐culturing endometrial stromal cells with cancerous epithelial cells. The spheroids developed by this method are phenot
The Ceramic was a part from the humanitarian production that masseure the development and promotion of the Nations through decades. The Ceramic development involve wide and more techniques. One of these techniques that appear through the developmental centuries, the ( Alkaro Ceramic )technique, this technique depended the simplicity that comitted on religions thoughts through their development and its origin, so it had connected with these religions thoughts and had transmitted to the differnt Nations and they development in it to stay as a connection to the original key although its a way to keep them from adoption a new path. The tracker of the Ceramic fine art through its modernal level could knew and touched the Enormons transformati

The main problem of the image classification process is the abundance of images, the high complexity of the data, and the shortage of labeled data, presenting the key obstacles in image classification. The cornerstone of image classification is evaluating the convolutional features retrieved from deep learning models and training them with machine learning classifiers. This study proposes a new approach of “hybrid learning” by combining deep learning with machine learning for image classification based on convolutional feature extraction using the VGG-16 deep learning model and seven class

... Show MoreInformation processing has an important application which is speech recognition. In this paper, a two hybrid techniques have been presented. The first one is a 3-level hybrid of Stationary Wavelet Transform (S) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (W) and the second one is a 3-level hybrid of Discrete Wavelet Transform (W) and Multi-wavelet Transforms (M). To choose the best 3-level hybrid in each technique, a comparison according to five factors has been implemented and the best results are WWS, WWW, and MWM. Speech recognition is performed on WWS, WWW, and MWM using Euclidean distance (Ecl) and Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). The match performance is (98%) using DTW in MWM, while in the WWS and WWW are (74%) and (78%) respectively, but when using (

Various types of biometrics like face, finger, iris, retina, voice, palm print, ear and hand geometry, in all these characteristics, iris recognition gaining attention because iris of every person is unique, it never changes during human lifetime and highly protected against damage. This unique feature shows that iris can be good security measure. Iris recognition system listed as a high confidence biometric identification system; mostly it is divide into four steps: Acquisition, localization, segmentation and normalization. This work will review various Iris Recognition systems used by different researchers for each recognit

The infected cases are still increasing, with many countries still showing a trend of growing daily cases. To forecast the trend of active cases, a mathematical model, namely the SIR model was used, to visualize the spread of COVID-19. For this article, the forecast of the spread of the virus in Malaysia has been made, assuming that all Malaysian will eventually be susceptible. With no vaccine and antiviral drug currently developed, the visualization of how the peak of infection (namely flattening the curve) can be reduced to minimize the effect of COVID-19 disease. For Malaysians, let’s ensure to follow the rules and obey the SOP to lower the
