The study includes preparation and characterisation of mixed azo-linked Schiff-base ligands and their complexes. The starting material was isolated from the mixing of 2-amino pyridine diazonium salt with 2-amino-phenole and 4-amino-3- hydroxy-1-naphthalene sulfonic acid respectively in 1:1 mole ratio in water. In this work, the formation of azo-linked Schiffbase ligands are reported. Ligands of the azo-linked Schiff-base was achieved by the reaction of starting material with 4- (dimethylamino) benzaldehyde) (HL1 and HL2). The complexes were prepared by mixing the azo-linked Schiff-base ligands with the metal salts; CoII, NiII and CdII in a 1:1:1 mole ratio. Ligands and complexes were characterised by analytical and spectroscopic analyses including; microanalysis, chloride content, thermal analysis, magnetic susceptibility for complexes, conductance, FTIR, UV-Vis and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. Physico-chemical techniques indicated complexes demonstrated six coordinate structures in the solid and solution sate. Biological activity of the ligands and their metal complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity against four bacterial species (Escherichia coli and Enterobacter (G-)), (Bacillus stubtilis and Staphylococcus aureus (G+)).
The varied applications of polystyrene in various fields of life led to examining the cause of radiation influence on some rheological behavior of commercial Polystyrene (PS) solution in the chloroform (CHCl3) solvent. Polystyrene grains shape samples were irradiated using the radioactive element Cesium- 137 with (9 µci) activity for 10, 20, and 30 minutes. The viscosity of the polymer solution depends on the concentration and size (i.e. molecular weight) of the dissolved polymer. Experimental data showed that the radiation dose affected the value of viscosity (shear, relative, specific, and reduced). A comprehensive review focuses on 3D network-on-chip (NoC) simulators and plugins while paying attention to the 2D simulators as the baseline is presented. Discussions include the programming languages, installation configuration, platforms and operating systems for the respective simulators. In addition, the simulator’s properties and plugins for design metrics evaluations are addressed. This review is intended for the early career researchers starting in 3D NoC, offering selection guidelines on the right tools for the targeted NoC architecture, design, and requirements.

Due to their attractive properties, silver nanowires (Ag-NWs) are newly used as nanoelectrodes in continuous wave (CW) THz photomixer. However, since these nanowires have small contact area, the nanowires fill factor in the photomixer active region is low, which leads to reduce the nanowires conductivity. In this work, we proposed to add graphene nanoantenna array as nanoelectrodes to the silver nanowires-based photomixer to improve the conductivity.
