Preparation and Evaluation of Atenolol Floating Beads as a Controlled Delivery System
...Show More Authors

This study aims to encapsulate atenolol within floating alginate-ethylcellulose beads as an oral controlled-release delivery system using aqueous colloidal polymer dispersion (ACPD) method. To optimize drug entrapment efficiency and dissolution behavior of the prepared beads, different parameters of drug: polymer ratio, polymer mixture ratio, and gelling agent concentration were involved. The prepared beads were investigated with respect to their buoyancy, encapsulation efficiency, and dissolution behavior in the media: 0.1 N HCl (pH 1.2), acetate buffer (pH 4.6) and phosphate buffer (pH 6.8). The release kinetics and mechanism of the drug from the prepared beads was investigated. All prepared atenolol beads remained floating on 0.1 N HCl (pH 1.2) medium over 24 hours. Besides, high yield beads of 73.07- 84.31% was obtained. Encapsulation efficiencies were in the range of 33.10 % -79.04 %, and were found to increase as a function of increasing drug: polymer mixture ratio and the gelling agent concentrations. Moreover, atenolol release profile from the beads was affected by the pH of the dissolution medium. It was found to be slowest in 0.1 N HCl (pH 1.2) and fastest in phosphate buffer (pH 6.8).The obtained results suggest that atenolol could be formulated as a controlled release beads, using ethylcellulose and alginate as polymers, using ACPD method. EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL STUDY OF TWO-PHASE HEAT PIPE
...Show More Authors

In this study, thermal characteristics of a two-phase closed heat pipe were investigated experimentally and theoretically. A two-phase closed heat pipe (copper container, Fluorocarbon FC-72 (C6F14) working fluid) was fabricated to examine its performance under the effect of input heat flux range of 250–1253 W/m2 , 70% fill charge ratio and various tilt angles. The temperature distribution along the heat pipe, input heat to evaporator section, and output heat from condenser were monitored. A comprehensive mathematical model was developed to investigate the steadystate heat transfer performance of a two-phase closed heat pipe. A steady state analytical model, is presented to determine important parameters on the design of two-phase close

The Development of the Suez Canal and Projects Competitors
...Show More Authors

The area around the Suez Canal has been chosen particularly  Sinai  to implement the new Suez Canal project parallel to the original 72-km-long channel due to the importance of the commercial site of the Arab Republic of Egypt, competing with shipping lanes, to accommodate the increasing maritime traffic  passing through the Suez canal, and to provide special services for trade world and reduce the economic cost of marine trip. The establishment of six tunnels for automobile and railway transport to Sinai The cost of the establishment of this new channel  and the establishment of the tunnels about (2.8) billion, of which 4 billion cost of the new channel. Project implementation period is one year. The new proj

Buckling Analysis of Stiffened and Unstiffened Laminated Composite Plates
...Show More Authors

The present study focused mainly on the analysis of stiffened and unstiffened composite laminated plates subjected to buckling load. Analytical, numerical and experimental analysis for different cases has been considered. The experimental investigation is to manufacture the laminates and to find mechanical properties of glass-polyester such as longitudinal, transverse young modulus, shear modulus. The compressive test was carried to find the critical buckling load of plate. The design parameters of the laminates such as aspect ratio, thickness ratio, boundary conditions and number of stiffeners were investigated using high order shear deformation theory (HOST) and Finite element coded by ANSYS .The main conclusion was the buckling load c

Asymmetry of accounting information - the reasons and proposed treatments
...Show More Authors

The research aims to identify the reasons that lead to asymmetry of information between economic unity administration and the parties that use accounting information such as shareholders, So,  the ability to reach to the solutions that would reduce this problem, these factors have been divided into two types: the first one is the internal factors which represent the administration's desire   in order to expand the self-interest of getting the profits and increase the value and competitive entity and investors to obtaining greater returns for their shares, so the second type is the external factors, which represent the failer that occurs in the laws and regula

Dielectric permittivity and ac conductivity of CuInSeTe thin films
...Show More Authors

The dielectric permittivityεand ac conductivityσac of CuInSeTe thin films were measured at temperatures in the range of 303–453 K and frequencies in the range of 100 Hz–10 MHz. It is found that the ac activation energy estimated from the Arrhenius equation is 0.1004 eV which increases with substrate temperature and decreases with the increase of frequency. The exponentsshows a progressive increase withTs. The results are explained in terms of structural difference by the effect ofTs and thermal treatment.

Impact Induced Responses of Saturated and Dry Dense Sand
...Show More Authors

The present article includes an experimental study of the behavior of dry and saturated dense sandy soil under the action of a single impulsive load. Dry and saturated dense sand models were tested under impact loads. Different falling masses from different heights were conducted using the falling weight deflectometer (FWD) to provide the single pulse energy. The responses of dense soils were evaluated at surface of soil under impact load. These responses include; displacements, velocities, and accelerations that are developed due to the impact acting at top and the displacement at different depths within the soil using the falling weight deflectometer (FWD) and accelerometers (ARH-500A waterproof, and low capacity acceleration tran

Comprehensive Screening of Stabilizers and Solvents for Curcumin Nanosuspension
...Show More Authors

Poorly soluble drugs are often a challenge in product formulation. Generally, low aqueous solubility and poor bioavailability of drugs have restricted their application in various fields. Nanosuspensions enhance the solubility and bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs. Curcumin, a hydrophobic polyphenol, exhibits poor aqueous solubility (<1 μg/mL), and formulating it as nanosuspension can enhance its solubility. However, the optimal selection of preparation technique, solvent, stabilizer, and drug-to-stabilizer ratio is critical for formulation success for a successful formulation. This work aims to optimize the preparation process of Curcumin nanosuspension. In addition, it aims in screening of the effectiveness of different stabi
