Precise forecasting of pore pressures is crucial for efficiently planning and drilling oil and gas wells. It reduces expenses and saves time while preventing drilling complications. Since direct measurement of pore pressure in wellbores is costly and time-intensive, the ability to estimate it using empirical or machine learning models is beneficial. The present study aims to predict pore pressure using artificial neural network. The building and testing of artificial neural network are based on the data from five oil fields and several formations. The artificial neural network model is built using a measured dataset consisting of 77 data points of Pore pressure obtained from the modular formation dynamics tester. The input variables are vertical depth, bulk density, and acoustic compressional wave velocity, with the activation function of tangent sigmoid. The average percent error, absolute average percent error, mean square error, root mean square error, and correlation coefficient (R2) were applied for evaluation. The results revealed that the best artificial neural network structure was (3-8-1), with average percent error, absolute average percent error, mean square error, root mean square error, and correlation coefficient R2 of -0.52, 1.01, 3994, 63.2, and 0.995, respectively. A C++ computer program is provided with a calculation sample to simplify the implementation of the proposed artificial neural network. The dependency degree of pore pressure on each input parameter is investigated, revealing the highest impact of depth on pore pressure prediction. Furthermore, to check the validity of the artificial neural network against the different datasets, the artificial neural network performance was compared with 84 new data points and showed an advantage over the existing models. The very good performance of artificial neural network for different types of oil reservoirs and formations reveals an insignificant effect of lithology on the prediction of pore pressure.
The research aims to find a contemporary model in analyzing the reasons behind the delay of the investment plan projects suffered by the North Oil Company. This model is able to understand the environment surrounding the implementation of projects in the light of the changes facing the company at the present time, which in turn requires the need to identify the most important strengths and weaknesses Internal and external opportunities and threats using the SWOT matrix and identify the appropriate strategic alternative based on clear policy, strategies and programs to address weaknesses and look to the future prospects as the company can be stronger and more flexible environmental changes surrounding the reality of implementation

Global collaboration among OSM contributors presents challenges to data quality and uniformity, exacerbated by the sheer volume of input and indistinct data annotation protocols. This study presents a methodological improvement in the spatial accuracy of OSM datasets centred over Baghdad, Iraq, utilising data derived from OSM services and satellite imagery. An analytical focus was placed on two geometric correction methods: a two-dimensional polynomial affine transformation and a two-dimensional polynomial conformal transformation. The former involves twelve coefficients for ad

The purpose of this research is to identify the development possibilities and resources at the regional level, which can be tapped for the development of secondary cities. This research aims to shed light on the importance of urban planning in creating regional balance and relieving population and service pressure on major cities. The research answers the question relative to how urban planners can work towards the idea of creating development corridors including the cities located within them, whilst focusing more on the regional dimension and the topic of sustainable urbanization. Show MoreWith a goal to identify, and ultimately removing from the oil fraction, the carcinogenic components, an oil fraction oil has been analyzed into a main three hydrocarbon groups, paraffins, aromatics, and polycyclic saturates. A multi-stage adsorption apparatus has been used. Four units of 300 g alumina each seems to be sufficient for removing the polynuclear aromatics from 75 g of an oil fraction boiling between 365-375 °C from Qurna crude oil. The usefulness of the ternary diagram for analyzing the oil fraction to the three hydrocarbons groups has been studied and verified. An experimentally based linear relationship of density and refractive index was established to enable of identifying the composition of an oil fraction using th

The transportation of petroleum products is complicated and changeable because of the hazards caused by the corrosion consequences. Hazardous chemical leaks caused by natural disasters may harm the environment, resulting in significant economic losses. It significantly threatens the aim for sustainable development. When a result, determining the likelihood of leakage and the potential for environmental harm, it becomes a top priority for decision-makers as they develop maintenance plans.
